“decent place with a good location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 10, 2014

This hotel was just a short walk from the metro and close to the eiffel tower which was great to visit at night. We had a few issues with our bathroom (one of the shower doors did not seal so water leaked, and the sink was not draining properly) but they were minor and didn't really impact our stay so we didn't bother spending the time trying to try to get them fixed. The room was small, but really as much space as you really need, the towel warmer was great, and the bed was comfortable-we are picky. We had a room with a view which was nice. We left the windows open at night for cool air, but it was a little noisy near the main street so for light sleepers earplugs would be good, but the fresh air was worth it. There is a fabulous restaurant a few steps away (Pasco) which is really convenient and absolutely delicious, check it out for a nice meal. Lots of bakeries and shops nearby toward the eiffel tower too. Best part is the 10-15min walk to the eiffel and quick 3 min trip to the metro station! Location is definitely a plus.

We stayed in this hotel January 2014. The hotel is near Place des Invalides, and if you are lucky (or just ask for it while ordering) you can a great view of it - as seen in the picture below. The picture is taken from our room in the fourth floor.

Postive:

- Extravagant (but small) rooms.
- Not located in a busy street, full of noise.
- Very close to the Eiffel Tower and not far from Champs Elysèes.
- Great service, especially from the night shift named Hakim.
- A supermarked just around the corner by the Metro; Ècole MiIitaire.
- Restaurant outside and near the hotel.

Negative:

- No mini frigde (for water etc.)
- Some light spots on the pillow cover after it was changed on day two.

Tip:

- The Eifell Tower glitters every hour after 21:00. You are so close to it that you should take time to this wonderful event every day.
- You can find cheap and affordable restaurants in a nearby street called; Rue Cler.
- You can take the bus directly to the Airport from the Air France building, which is just a short walk from the hotel.

We stayed the weekend of March 21, 2014. This centrally located hotel was easy for flight-weary tourists to access from the metro. We arrived before check-in time (9 am) to store our luggage and were pleasantly surprised, and very grateful, to be given a room key instead. Our very clean room, 33, is small by North American standards but does have a view overlooking the Musee de l'Armee. The windows in bedroom and bathroom open with no mesh. The duvet on the bed was lovely; mattress was comfortable. Wifi was reliable every time we used it, which was important as we skyped our kids back home. The hotel did offer breakfast but we choose to linger over our cappuccinos in the cafés close by before we began our day.
We chose this hotel based on its central position to major attractions yet off from the beaten track enough to escape the crowds at the end of day. We were not disappointed and give it a definite recommend!

This is not your large, flashy, five-star European hotel, but it is really all you could possibly need. I was visiting Paris with my brother (his first time in Paris, my second) and I wanted a clean, centrally located, affordable hotel (seeing as we were on our parents budget). First of all I do not think I could have found a better location. In the heart of Paris within walking distance to most things you would possibly need and easy access to the metro. I was amazed at the price. It's truly a good value. The staff was very courteous and helpful with everything from check-in to providing us maps to reserving cabs. The attendant on call during the day always recognized us when we returned and knew exactly which room key to give us. The room is very small, which is typical of most european hotel rooms, but for two people it was not an issue. The room was very clean and modern. The building is very old and retains its original charm while keeping a modern touch. Can't do much better.

Room Tip: Look for a room with a view of the Invalides. Amazing view, especially at night.

Just returned from a three night stay at this hotel.

The hotel is located in an ideal location the Eiffel Tower is within a 5 minute walk (if you don't end up being drawn in and buying baked goods at a patisserie!) there are must be 50 if not more cafés/restaurants all within a 5 minute walk from the hotel all serving food up until 11/12 at night. The beauty of the location of the hotel is that it is not too touristy, you feel that you are staying amongst the locals. The Rue Cler, a 2 minute walk away, has plenty of atmosphere until late at night offering several places to eat and drink.

We had a room with a view, which in my opinion is a must. The room was a fair size for the price and the location. The bathroom was well appointed, although there doesn't seem a way to stop water from the shower going onto the floor. Not a big issue though. The room and bathroom were cleaned daily to a very high standard.

The staff on the whole were very friendly. We met two different men working on reception at night, both were very friendly. Unfortunately this can not be said for the dark haired woman who works on reception during the day. She gave the impression that she didn't want to be there.

Took a group of 16 friends to Paris (8 couples, 50ish). I try to find hotels that are centrally located, convenient to transportation and offer a good value for the price. This hotel nicely met all expectations. Will stay here again. Some rooms were a little tight. My room was spacious. As expected in Paris small elevator- 2 people or one plus luggage, max.. Thought the breakfast was over priced. Went to market area down the street for coffee and croissants instead.

I booked this hotel from searching hotels within easy reach of Eiffel Tower and from Trip advisor reviews. it was for a really special occasion as a surprise trip for my husband's 50th birthday so opted for a from with a view of Invalides. on booking, received an email from hotel and tips on how to get there from CDG airport which were really east to follow and much appreciated. we loved the location and our room, would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: worth having a room with a view!
