“small and chic”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 2, 2012

i spent a week at hotel du ministere and really enjoyed my time at this chic, small hotel. i was traveling alone and booked one of their single rooms. it's small, but had a nice, firm bed, individual climate control, an in-room safe, normal sized bathroom, free wifi, terrific housekeeping service, and breakfast included. the modern design is cool, and the location is nice being close to everything but on a quiet street. i liked this property and would stay here again when i return to paris.

The staff at this hotel was the best we've experienced in years, if not ever. The room was extremely comfortable and tastefully decorated in a modern motif. The hotel offered an American breakfast and Wi-Fi included in the price and the location was on a side street a few blocks from the "Place de La Madeleine" church and square. We are planning a trip back to Paris and will stay here again. The value for the money was excellent and we highly recommend.

As other reviews say - an excellent location. You're within walking distance of many attractions. Stayed there in late Aug 2012. Room was small, but looked to be recently remodeled, was clean, comfortable, and the shower had plenty of water pressure. Staff was very friendly, accommodating, and spoke adequate English. They were happy to assist in making reservations around the city. Breakfast was excellent for such a small hotel: several cereals and breads, juices, milk, cheeses, cold meats, scrambled eggs, and outstanding coffee - a small all you can eat buffet. I'd certainly stay there again.

Nice special hotel close to Madeleine offering everything you need to spend some days in Paris.
We were lucky we could park our car just in front of the hotel.
The guy at the reception desk was picking his nose all the time.

I can honestly say the hotel is all one could wish for - the rooms are beautiful and clean, the location is perfect, the breakfast is hearty. The receptionists are always friendly and ready to help. We spent 10 days at the hotel and we quickly began feeling at home - our very own place in the heart of Paris. I wouldn't hesitate to come back, so see you again, Hotel du Ministere!

Room Tip: The street is very quiet so any room would be fine.

First time stay in July 2012.
The Junior Suite is fantastic and very quiet (access to the room was a bit tricky but overall fun to get there). Breakfast is really good and staff very friendly.
Next time I return to Paris, I will stay there again and will recommend this great boutique hotel to friends.

Contemporary designed hotel with an excellent attention to detail. Staff were very friendly and incredibly helpful, suggesting and booking places to eat and watch live music. Location is great, on a quiet street and only 5 minutes’ walk from the nearest metro station (Madeleine) and the Champs Elysees. Breakfast was excellent, there was so much we tried different options each morning. Room was a little small but still very comfortable and only to be expected in such a good location in Paris. Thanks for making our engagement weekend so special.
