A very interesting palace! Seat of the French Senat that I knew from TV since I watched senat's debates from time to time. We participated in a guided tour, offered only in French, and visited the hemicycle, the hall of "Livre d'Or", several other absolutely beautiful halls, and the staircase. The palais will be open to public during so-called Heritage Days (Journees du Patrimoine), 14-15 September 2013. It would recommend to get some knowledge about the palace prior to the visit - this would help to understand and APPRECIATE its historical, artistic, and political richness!
