“Great "almost" hidden gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 4, 2014

This is a small garden that might not get as much attention in Paris as the others nearby at Tullieries, but it is well worth the diversion to take a look through this one.

“Pure harmony”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 14, 2013

Fantastic place, an island of tranquility right in the heart of Paris. Great architecture, fine proportions, lovely garden - and enough place for everyone. A stroll in the courtyard, some meditation near the fountain - what could be better!

“A lovely secluded garden in the midst of the city”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 6, 2013

You feel as if you're in a private orchard, though you're right in the middle of downtown Paris. There are some lovely sidewalk tea rooms and cafes, and good window shopping. Nice covered arcades with shops just off the garden, and a lively playground for children. There are some stairs but you can avoid them by walking down one block.

“One of the nicest parks in Paris”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 6, 2013

This park is genuinely lovely. It's a bit hidden and seems like a big atrium since it's surounded by buildings on all 4 sides. It has promenades of trees and nice benches to hide in the shadows on sunny days or just relax amongst trees. There are also lawns and a pretty fountain where you can often see rainbow if you're on the right side of it. It's also not too crowded even though it's not one of the biggest parks.

“One of my favorite city parks in Paris”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 21, 2013

It's a peaceful and romantic place. It appears that many locals frequent this hidden park, or pass through it on their way to work. You'll totally miss it if you're not specifically going to the Palais Royal. We just happened to see people walking in that direction as we were eating breakfast at the Hôtel du Louvre. Out of curiosity, we decided to go in the same direction. What we discovered was a beautiful park in front of a grand palace which is surrounded by boutiques and cafés. You'll also pass through the palace courtyard (Cour d'Honneur) with it's short, black & white striped columns on the way to that park. It ended up being a wonderful discovery. From that point on, we would stroll through it on a daily basis (usually after dinner) during our week long stay. It's a great place to relax and unwind from a busy day of touring. It's not a place where you see huge crowds of people, which was actually quite nice. Don't miss it if you're looking for that classic picture of a beautiful French palatial garden & courtyard.
