“Quietly lovely”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 11, 2014

A pretty part of Paris, infinitely nicer than Ile de la Cite. Enchanting architecture and very safe atmosphere. Boasts many bijou restaurants, and fashion stores range from tacky to elegant. Stick to the calmer eastern end to avoid the throngs of posing tourists. We stayed on the island but were out most of the days, and found that when we wandered in the early morning/late evening, it was quite quiet and mostly locals.

“Smallest island in Paris”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 11, 2014

This is the oldest part of Paris. It has cute little shops and cafes. You can go along a beautiful stroll along the Seine river. It has a bridge that will connect to Ile de la Cite, which is where the Notre Dame is located.

“Loved this tiny island”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 10, 2014

This island is just a short walk across a bridge near Notre Dame. Once you cross you come to this long street that's filled with craft shops, restaurants and ice creams shops. We got there just 45 minutes before the shops closed but we still loved this area.

“Loved the area!”

It is a really quaint area with great dining options and glaces (gelato)! Really enjoyed our little walk through the streets.

“Quaint streets and Berthillion Ice Cream”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2014

Can be a bit crowded but with the small shops right in the middle of Paris, do walk around and try the Berthilion chocolate, like liquid chocolate, yum.
