“Shopping, eating, browsing”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 28, 2012

There are many small shops on narrow streets selling everything from simple and inexpensive items to high end merchandise. There is something for everyone! Bakeries, Meat markets, Ice Cream and restaurants. A couple of hurs here will go by quickly.

“Great places”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 25, 2012

L'ile has many restaurants, gelato bars, even a wine store and little grocery (that was open at odd hours by local standards which we were pleased to see). Quaint old buildings, nice place for a walk. For unique gifts try Pylones.

“J'adore Ile Ste-Louis”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 25, 2012

This petite island in the middle of the Seine is a treasure and should not be missed. Make sure you visit for dinner (there are a lot of nice restaurants), dessert, drinks or just to walk along the Seine. It is fascinating to see the old buildings and discover the old streets. If you are looking for an amazing restaurant I totally recommend l'Orangerie.

“gelato!!!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 24, 2012

A nice little neighborhood near Notre dame. There were several shops and quaint cobbled streets. Tons of people lined up to buy ice cream, at a window in one shop... we walked further and found a gelato shop, no line, and probably the best gelato outside of Italy!!

“Great little ile”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 23, 2012

A fun little place to stay that is centrally located. Walking or Metro distance to everything with cute little boutique hotels. Notre Dame is minutes walk as are taxi stands to take you where you want to go. There are also the cutest little stores on rue de saint Louis en l'lle, so even if you are not staying here it is worth a quick walk through before or after you visit Notre Dame
