“Pricey but well worth the experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 19, 2013

A classic bistro serving classic French dishes but the prices make this a treat rather than a regular haunt. Two courses with wine will set you back about 40 euros but the quality of the food and service lift Au Chien far above what you would get at an ersatz french bistro on your local high street

“Beautiful tasty food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2013

Had a fantastic lunch Au chien qui fume this week end. The staff is very attentive, menu excellent but not cheap. However well worth it! I was totally blown away by their seafood and king prawns risotto. Very rich but a total explosion of flavours! Absolutely worth the money! I will be back!

“Excellent classic French food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 10, 2013 via mobile

The food was very tasty and authentically French. We found this restaurant looking for the hotel, we were immediately attracted by the Typical French look and atmosphere. We had a set menu of 27 euros, I went for onion soup and mustard rabbit casserole and my boss ordered a terrine of rabbit and a bernaise sauce rump steak. We were both very please with the quality of the food and the selection. Service average, very Parisian..

If you are looking for a traditional french meal it's hard to go past this restaurant. It has a well thought out menu that caters to locals and tourists alike with a great wine list.

“Great meal.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 19, 2013

They took great care of us six adults and one infant. Everyone's food was delicious. We had the onion soup, foie gras, avocado and tomato and melted goat cheese appetizer, all fabulous. Entrees were great, as well as dessert. They took great care of us and was one of the cheaper meals we had in Paris, around 36€ for 3 courses.
