“Excellent staff and service, room could be better”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 12, 2013

The location was great, very near the Eiffel Tower and easy walk to 3 metro stations and lots of great cafes nearby. The staff was superb, very friendly and accommodating. We arrived early (about 10am) and while the room type we had reserved wasn't available, they did have a room ready and offered it. In hindsight we should have probably waited for a different room. Our room opened into the courtyard which seemed nice at the time. However at about 6:30 am when we were awakened by the food carts rolling and clanging around in the courtyard for the breakfast service to the outdoor restaurant, we were quickly changing our minds. I'm sure they would have switched us to a different room had we asked, so our complaint is really more of a warning...don't get a room on the courtyard! The bed was fair, it felt a bit worn out, not very firm, but otherwise the room was great. I can't say enough about how helpful the concierge was, helping us with transportation, making restaurant recommendation and reservations, etc. The entire staff was excellent.

Room Tip: Rooms opening to the courtyard are noisy during the early morning food service.

My husband and i stayed there for three nights and absolutely love this hotel.

Great Location:
Two Metros and hop on/off bus stations within mins of walk.
Alot of Cafes closeby, There are also convenience stores within mins of walk as well.

Staffs:
Professional, friendly and helpful.
After check'n in, the front desk staff brought us to our room, show us all the facilities and made sure we were happy with the room and feel comfortable.

Room:
Elegant decor. Room was super clean, bed and pillows were super comfy.
Hotel management pays attention to all details in the room. Jazz music was playing from the idock when we walked into the room, complementary water daily, turn down services etc.

Bathroom:
Everything is excellent.. except i don't quiet get the shower head w/ the skinny shower glass partition. Water leaked to the floor when i tried to take a shower. I guess it's not designed as a stand-up shower at all.
But you know what, after a long day touring around the lovely city, soaking tub was A+

Courtyard Lounging Area:
Very comfortable. We loved to chill and had a few drinks there at night.
Free wi-fi at the common area.

Overall Rating: AA+. Will definitely go back!

A bunch of us stayed her for 4 nights (4 rooms total). From the minute we walked in till the minute we checked out, I can't think of anything negative.

-- Staff extremely friendly and helpful.... just ask.
-- Rooms lovely, housekeeping right on, turn down service and gifts splendid.
-- Common areas -- inviting (the courtyard is a great place to meet up, have a drink, enjoy the outdoors. Lobby small, but nice.
-- Breakfast was great. Excellent scrambled eggs and these little dunkin munchins/beignets... yum! Along with lots of other choices.
-- Location -- best in town! A couple minutes to the Arc, a couple in the other direction to the Eiffel. Victor Hugo Metro station also only a couple minutes.
-- Eating -- There was a restaurant about 2 blocks up (Longchamps, make a right), Bangkok, great Thai food. A little further up, the corner Poncaire with the red awning was good, too.
100% I would stay here again and recommend this hotel to friends.

Room Tip: We were facing the courtyard. If you want to open your windows, it gets a bit noisy late at night.

We stayed here 9/27/13 - 10/3/13. As others have said, the location is within a quick walk of two Metros (Trocadero and Victor Hugo) as wells as the Arc de Triomphe and Eiffel Tower. Also, numerous excellent cafes very close by.

Room was spacious and quiet, bed was very comfortable, hotel was spotless, staff was fantastic.

We will be back.

We looked at reviews for a variety of Marriott properties in Paris before deciding on this on. We liked the location, and my mother liked the look of the hotel from the pictures on the website. I am a Marriott Rewards Platinum member and was able to pay for this stay with rewards points.

The location is great -- walking distance to both the Eiffel Tower and Arc de Triomphe. Two nearby metro stops -- Trocadero and Victor Hugo -- made getting to other parts of the city easy (although almost always required a transfer). Plenty of restaurants in the area, although the Trocadero is a more touristy. The VIctor Hugo area had a few restaurants, a bakery/pastry shop and a grocery market.

Our room overlooked the courtyard, and on the second day we realized we could see the very top of the Eiffel Tower over the top of the other buildings. We did experience some noise from the courtyard over the weekend, but it was not bothersome and never lasted late. Unfortunately we were unable to use the courtyard ourselves, as the weather didn't cooperate.

Our room (two twin beds) was bigger than we expected, with some extra room provided by the dormer. A ledge provided room for our suitcases, which got them out of the way. The bathroom was nice, but the lack of a shower curtain on the tub (there was only a short glass wall) meant we got water all over the floor whenever we showered. The room also had a safe, and the minibar fridge had plenty of room left for our own drinks and snacks. We enjoyed the complimentary bottle of water provided each day.

The breakfast at the restaurant was nice, but we wouldn't have eaten there if we'd had to pay for it as it was rather expensive (21 and 29 Euros). Because of my Platinum status and the fact the hotel doesn't have a concierge lounge, we were able to have breakfast for free. The breakfast spread was very well done -- pastries, breads, cereals, eggs, sausages, cheese, meat, fresh fruit, etc. -- and the staff was busy but attentive.

All staff members were friendly and helpful, especially the young woman who checked us in and escorted us to the elevators.

Room Tip: Our third floor (fourth floor in the U.S.) room in the La Residence building over looked the courtya...

We read lots of reviews before choosing this hotel for our one night in Paris during our honeymoon and we are so thrilled that we did (thank you to the legions of happy guests before us who left very helpful reviews!). We arrived in the morning and were greeted very warmly. They said they had a special room for us because it was our honeymoon, but it would not be ready until the regular check-in time of 3pm. They were very kind to invite us to self-serve complimentary coffee, tea, and treats in the lounge area and stored our things for us so we could go explore the city. Our room was SPECTACULAR! We were already happy with the location of the hotel and were prepared not to expect much from the view, so we were over the moon when we found out we had a room with a view of the Eiffel Tower. How surreal! The accommodations were luxurious, well maintained, also very modern, yet pleasantly, also joyful (when other places go contemporary, the result tends to be cold and not particularly inviting). We spent the rest of the day visiting the city, and when we returned late at night, we discovered the pleasant surprise that the general manager had left with her compliments Champagne and some delightful sweets. Thank you to the amazing staff for your attentiveness throughout our stay, including our hosts at the front desk, the security staff (it's a very nice part of town, so there's likely nothing to worry about in general in terms of safety, but it was nice to know they were there, yet not overbearing, and they we so kind to help us bring our heavy bags up the few steps outside the hotel--much appreciated after a tiring journey!), the bellman, the gentleman who kindly brought us adorable (and very tasty!) mini-croissants as we enjoyed our coffee while we were waiting to check in, the friendly maintenance worker, Sandrine (the room controller!), and Anne the general manager. What an unforgettable experience! Our expectations were entirely exceeded; we could not have imagined a better place to stay. We hope we will be able to return again very soon! Thank you!!
