“Perfectly Located and Close to Major Attractions”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 23, 2012

I love the fact that this hotel was located in a safe, residential area. Within walking distance you will find many cafes and shops. Few blocks away you can easily walk to the Eiffel Tower and in the other direction the Arc De Triomphe. We were given an upgrade room which was nice sized. Loved the bathroom mirror which reminded me of the mirror in the fairytale story Snow White. My room was located in the back in in the The Residence - magnolia building. I was concerned about anyone off the street could walk through the courtyard to the rooms on the first floor because there didn't seem to be any security features for the entrance doors. At night the entrance to the courtyard area has closed gate. The staff were all courteous and professional. The breakfast buffet had wide range of selections and was great. Only downside was the parking issue. Initially I parked on the street and was offered to have my car valeted but my car was in the same spot several hours later then later covered in bird poop. Other than that, I enjoyed my stay at this hotel and would definitely return. Used points for the room which was a plus because this hotel is very expensive.

Room Tip: Ask for upgrade, save and use points to reserve room for special occasions

Where do I begin? My wife and I just landed in Paris after a ten hour flight from Atlanta....it was before 10:00am, however Lise (amazing employee!) was able to find a room for us (which was vital since we desperately needed a shower and some sleep :) and also overheard us mention that it was our honeymoon and sent up a bottle of champagne and chocolates! She is one that we will not forget and turned what could have easily been a routine stay into a very memorable experience.

We ended each night at the hotel bar and met wonderful employees (Victoria and Max) who made us feel very special and welcome to the five star hotel bar! They spent a nice amount of time with us and we were impressed with how great the bar food is!

Finally, the concierge team was incredibly helpful with all of our needs and even though we knew very little French, they were able to get us in to the restaurants that the locals visit.

Overall, this was the best place for a first time visit to Paris (easy walk to Eiffle Tower, Arc de Triomphe or Champs de Elysees....also very close to Metro stations!)

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a courtyard view! Nice and quiet :)

A wonderful hotel in safe, pleasant residential area, near shops, restaurants and the Metro. We were initially shown to a two story suite but the rather steep stairs would have been a constant challenge so we requested a change. We were immediately shown to an equally lovely suite, room 415, overlooking a courtyard where drinks and meals can be served. I initially worried about the noise factor but there was none and it was a pleasure to look out the windows onto the trees and flowers there.
What makes this hotel stand out from all the other wonderful 5 star hotels in Paris is the level of service offered by the management. A few days earlier we had left a bag of belongings including an IPad on a taxi. We learned from other taxi drivers about a Lost and Found maintained by the Police. When I showed the all important taxi receipt to the concierge, he suggested that I write a letter to the address on the receipt. Noting how far away this office was and having had other dealings with the infamous French bureaucracy, we resigned ourselves to the loss.
I requested to see the manager about another issue and in discussing that issue confided to the lovely Ann LeGrand our tale of woe. Ann instantly offered to help. The next day I was in a taxi with the beautiful Nirusha Coolen who had offered to accompany me to the Lost and Found. We were on our way back to the hotel within an hour, IPad in hand. Our faith in the honesty of man starting with the taxi driver, the Lost and Found personnel and these two Marriott managers was resoundingly validated! While service is THE byword in all high end hotels, it is not always available when you need something a bit out of the ordinary.
There is much to like about this hotel when business requires you to be in the 16th or you want something quieter than the more touristy arrondissements. We will most definitely be returning to this charming hotel.

Room Tip: The suite in Room 415 in the Main Building overlooks the charming courtyard and is far enough away f...

Great location - quiet street but close to the Eiffel Tower on one side the Arch de Triumph on the other, and two Metro stations. Very nice staff. Newly remodeled.

This is an excellent hotel which caters well to American travelers.

Room:
The room overlooking the garden was very finely appointed, rather large for a European city with very nice touches. Shower and bathroom were somewhere in between what I've seen in upscale New York hotels and top-of-the-line hotels in Rome. Bed was very comfortable, great for putting your feet up after walking all day in Paris. Large curtains helped us take a nap in the afternoons.

Bar/Lounge:
I sat in the garden area a couple times to spend the afternoon reading. Great location to relax and unwind, with canvas couches. Cocktails are artisan and quite expensive. Service in the lounge in relatively intermittent, so they bring you your check right away, which is actually quite rare in Paris.

Location:
The Trocadero location is in a very upscale neighborhood, convenient to both the Trocadero and Victor Hugo metros (5-10 minute walk to each). Now, this is my only knock on the hotel, and it's not their fault: it's about a ten-minute walk to a spectacular view of the Eiffel tower, and this means that some (not all) of the restaurants in the location are tourist traps. In addition, it's a long Metro ride to the "foodie" neighborhood known as St. Germain.
One great thing about this location is that it is residential--you can see how Parisians live their everyday lives--walking their dogs, taking kids to school, having drinks with friends (at the non-tourist-trap cafes, of course). I'd also recommend the quickie-mart a block down from the hotel. It's very convenient for water, beer, wine, snacks, and basic necessities.

Service:
The staff is extremely friendly, and all of the mid-to-senior staff speaks excellent English. The turndown service gives us little Toblerone chocolates nightly. I was celebrating my birthday and got a nice "happy birthday" letter from the hotel manager with little box of chocolates and a half-bottle of champagne as a surprise waiting for me after dinner. It's little gestures like that which will make me think about coming back next time I'm in Paris.

Typical miniature Renaissance rooms with paper thin walls, but that being said the large courtyard garden off the street is a quiet oasis and wonderful for drinks and meals. Rooms are very nicely appointed with top quality beds and bedding. Easy walk to the metro or the right bank side of the eiffel tower. Get a room far from the elevator!

This hotel recently completed a much needed remodel. The rooms are nice and fresh. The fitness center is not very well equipped. The location is great...near Trocadero Square, between the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe. Easy walk to either attraction. Metro stations are close by as well. No executive lounge but a very nice breakfast. No swimming pool.

Room Tip: You'll need to get a room on a high floor on the east side facing the street to have a chance at...
