“Wonderful Hotel, great location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 28, 2013

This was our first trip to Paris and the Emeraude Louvre Montana Hotel made it a memorable trip for all the right reasons. Great welcome when we arrived from the front desk staff and our room was fantastic, ideal for our family party of 3. Wonderful view from our balcony especially at night and the location of the hotel was perfect for the venues we wanted to visit. All of the hotel staff were really friendly and helpful including our room maid.

This is a small and nice hotel perfectly located just near the Louvre, in the heart of Paris. We had booked the Deluxe Triple room, but thanks to the professional staff got an upgrade to a larger Deluxe Tulleries room with a breathtaking view to Garden de Tulleries. The hotel staff, from receptionists to room cleaners are very helpful and friendly. The delicious breakfast is being served in a small room on the first floor and free wifi is available everywhere in the hotel. There are several great restaurants available just near the hotel and a magnificent Church is just nearby. Indeed a great service and location for the price! I highly recommend staying here

You can't beat the location or the helpfulness of the staff! Very close to the Louvre, the gardens, and many other attractions. And it's not easy to find king beds in European hotels, but this hotel does offer that option. I'd highly recommend it!

Staff were very helpful. Location is great with easy access to the metro. Being and older hotel, and in the heart of the city, the rooms and elevator are small but worked fine for two people traveling light. The 5 minute walk to the Louvre lawn for sun-filled picnics was a great way to rest up each day after long walking tours of the city. The area has a nice pedestrian only restaurant area nearby and the two major sights, Louvre and Opera, are within a 15 minute walk.

Lots of advantages and no disadvantages. Cosy room with a breathtaking view (especially at night), great location close to The Louvre, friendly atmosphere, delicious breakfast, interesting lift and free wifi. Moreover, I was particularly impressed by how approachable and helpful the staff were. They showed themselves willing to help with any questions and requests which arouse during my visit. There was no language barrier. Their English was perfect! In brief, it has been a pleasure to stay at The Louvre Montana. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone :)

The Louvre Montana is a charming small hotel. It has a small, pre-war lift in the middle of a circular staircase that is in the middle of the building. Our room was fairly small (most of them in Europe are), but was nicely decorated. (Where else would toile wallpaper and matching drapes look adorable?) There's breakfast offered, but we didn't try it since there are tons of restaurants (and a small supermarket) around the corner. This is not cookie-cutter hotel with long, straight hallways and big elevators.

The front desk staff were immensely helpful throughout our stay. Emanuel and Helene were particularly wonderful. Having said all of that, being 1/2 block from the Tuileries Garden was absolutely the best!

Prior to our trip, people kept telling me to except tiny rooms but the room at the Montana was quite large! We had a superior twin with large windows that opened onto a small balcony. We could see the Ferris wheel in the Jardin des Tuileries from the balcony. We stayed on the 2nd (3rd US) floor and only used the itty bitty (but very cute) elevator when we first arrived and when checking out.

The staff was very friendly. There did seem to be an issue with the lights going out in the stairwell at times, but either a staff person would reset the breaker (I'm guessing) or we just used the little LED flashlight I always carry on my key chain. The closet had an odd smell, but I think it was just from being closed all the time. Nothing that a little lavender couldn't handle.

The hotel is very centrally located - the metro station is just around the corner. I would definitely stay here again.

Thank you for your comment about your saty at Louvre Montana Hotel. We are pleased you enjoyed your Superior Room and th view over the Tuileries Garden. Ragrding the lights going out on the stairway it was a little problem that we had because lights always stay on for yout comfort.

We hope we will welcome you again.
