“March break- 15th to 18th March 2013”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 18, 2013

Just had a lovely break here. Room large by Paris standards, clean, quiet and comfortable. Breakfast is good and varied, bar has limited stock . Local restaurants variable as to quality and the better ones are quite expensive, can pay 12 euros for cocktails!

Hotel, though overall very good, staff very friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: we had a room at the front but not too noisy (with ear plugs), looked as if bigger rooms are at the...

We've stayed at the hotel for 3 nights over the weekend. The staff we're friendly, the room was good - small, as expected, but clean and in good condition. It also included an A/C unit. Breakfast was ok.
The hotel is located not far (about 10 minutes walk) from Trocadero, Champs-Élysées and about 15 minutes from Arc de triomphe. The neighbourhood is quiet and pleasent, and there is a Metro station down the street, at Victor Hugo square (a few minutes walk).
Very good value, and well recommended!

This was our 4.th time in Paris, and this was the best of the hotels we have stayed at, as we look for middle-priced ones. The room (24) was spacious (considering it's in Paris), clean and peaceful, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was spacious and new. There was a minibar-fridge, safe and a service tray with coffee, tea, milk and cookies, also a water bottle on the arrival day. Also we got the room already around noon as we arrived. Breakfast was ok, the only thing to miss were fresh vegetables. Notice the eggs are raw and you must boil them yourself in a machine next to them!

If you arrive from CDG airport it's easiest to take RER to Denfert-Rochereau and then metro 6 to Boissiere, although Victor Hugo is a bit closer but you have to change at least twice to get there.

Room Tip: A room in the end of corridor and facing the inside yard are large and quiet

We arrived at 1am on a Thursday night and checked in quickly. As in most European hotels, the elevator was small but served our purposes in getting our bags to our floor. Room and bathroom was large for European standards and the bed was comfy. The TV was on the smaller side these days but no one should be watching TV in a hotel room in Paris!

Noise wise, our room faced the main street and was quiet. Trash pickup was at 7am daily and I woke to the truck every day.

Breakfast was tasty and there was plenty of selection. My girlfriend especially liked the do it your self hard boiled egg station.

The staff were nice and spoke English well.

Location wise, perfect. Just a 5 minute walk to the Victor Hugo station or 10 minutes to Champs Elysées-Etoile station near Arc de Triomphe and of course Champs Elysees street.

When I visit Paris again, I will be sure to stay here.

We visited this hotel in November to celebrate my birthday. The hotel is very well placed to visit Paris and is easy walking distance of the Eiffel tower and the Arch d'Triumph. There are two metro stations nearby so we had no problem getting to all the places that we had planned. The hotel is clean and was lovely and warm Our room was very comfortable and the beds were fine. We both have back problems so a sound mattress is important to us. We stayed bed and breakfast and I was very pleased with how much choice there was and at the service offered. The reception were very helpful with suggestions and directions.
I would definately go there again

Staff was very kind and helpful. Our room was on the first floor with no sunshine at all but it was very peaceful, so it was perfect to relax. The best feature is that you can easily find the hotel it is only a 10 minutes walk from Arc de Triumph and there are a lot of fantastic restaurants.

3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 11, 2012

My husband and I spent two nights (A Saturday and Sunday) here recently. The room was number 10, on the first floor, and I would rate it only 3 star quality, with plenty of shabby chic decor. The bathroom was large and had a good shower. I felt that the bedroom was disappointingly small, especially when getting ready in the mornings/packing up when the two of us could hardly move around the room. I would rather have had a smaller bathroom and bigger bedroom. Also, the pictures I'd seen on the website showed nice new decor, and ours was in a sort of 'Marie Antoinette' style, which was ok but not what I was expecting.

The room was clean, and there were good facilities provided (such as kettle, shower gel, soap, minibar/fridge, etc). Unfortunately, we could hear noise through the thin walls and roof, and we could hear reception's phone ringing in the evenings. I took my earplugs though, and slept well.

The hotel is 10 mins walk from the Arc de Triomphe and Champs Elysees, and two metro stations are within 10 minutes walk. We felt adventurous and walked to the Eiffel Tower, which took about 35 minutes each way. One thing to beware of is that while the area is nice and clean, there are few restaurants/cafes open in the evenings, especially for those on a lower budget. On a Sunday there was nothing open for breakfast, but on Monday we ate at La Petite Marquise, in Place Victor Hugo, and they had delicious pastries and very good coffee.

To sum up, I would recommend the hotel, especially if you get a cheaper deal. Take your ear plugs, and be prepared to walk or take the metro to see some of the tourist attractions, and to get better choices for eating out in the evenings.

Pros
-Great location, close to some of the key tourist attractions
-Room had a large bathroom
-Free WiFi
-Clean

Cons
-Few Restaurants/cafes close by that are open in the evenings
-Small, "shabby chic" bedroom
-Expensive - but good value if you can get a last-minute deal.

Room Tip: Room 10 on the first floor was old-fashioned decor, and you could hear noise from the upstairs/other...
