We tried three times to get into L'Ange and it was definitely worth the effort. It was the best dining experience we had during our week's stay in the Marais quarter. The 3 courses for 30 Euro menu is such good value. We had the goats cheese starter and gizzard salad (sounds terrible but my husband loved it, tasted better than the best bacon you can get) and for mains the 7 hour cooked lamb which was melting and the duck breast. We shared a dessert of pistachio creme brulee. Impeccable cooking, presentation, quality, service and ambience. Diners share a small room with the kitchen and you can chat to the chef if you want to. Our fellow diners were a mix of the locals and tourists so very cosmopolitan and great fun to chat to your neighbour. Definitely book ahead as you are unlikely to get in if you just turn up.
