Saint Dominique is in a great location firstly, within walking distance you have two metro stations and the Eiffel Tower just a 10/15minute stroll away.
We had a room over the main road with two large floor to ceiling shutter style windows which was just perfect for the summer and for people gazing...What better in the morning in Paris, a few minutes soaking up the atmosphere! The decor in the room was just beautiful, a modern take on Classic Parisian style, lots of framed photos and good detailing which gave a more personal, warm feel. Large bathroom with fantastic shower, huge king bed with lots of pillows and comfy mattress making a lie-in most tempting. Great little hotel. We didn't opt for the breakfast so no comment there. The parking leaves much to be desired but I suppose is typical of any major city, we ended up in an underground public parking lot about a 5minute walk away, worked out to be about £25 per day.

Firstly I must say I booked this hotel after reading the good reviews on trip advisor. We were NOT disappointed.
What a lovely place. All staff were great, they can't help you enough. The location is great, you can walk to many attractions and the metro can get you to the rest. The area is lovely, light up for Christmas, spoilt for choice with Resteraunts. The rooms are like new, very comfortable and cozy. Pretty court yard that would be great in the summer. The hotel gives you an iPad for the length of your stay. I have never had this before and I think it's a great gesture, it helps you plan your trip from the comfort of your room. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

2 minor criticisms though, and this is more for the hotels benefit. They could be a bit more generous with the tea and coffee in the room (which is strange as they give free soft drinks in the mini bar).
And on our last morning while we were getting ready to check out, my girlfriend and I were packing before getting dressed so that we could make the check out time at 12pm as required when at 11.30am the room cleaning staff tried to get in to clean. At this point neither of us had any clothes on.
But don't let this deter you.

The hotel has a great location, about 5-10 minutes' walk from Invalides metro stop or the Eiffel tower. The staff was very nice & accommodating, and the room was a great value. Our room (#4 on the ground floor) was nicely furnished and surprisingly very quiet. We awoke after the first night feeling really rested, which set a great tone for the trip. Hats off to Hotel Saint Dominique!

Dear 388tylerr

Thank you for taking the time to evaluate us on Tripadvisor. Room 4 is actually very nice, but as what it really depends on personal taste (see further notice of 13 October, which this customer had displeased room).

We invite our customers to notify us if their room is not for them and let us find the best possible solution for your stay. Any specification at the time of booking helps us to allocate you a room that suits you best. And if we were wrong, so we don't fix it! We will find a solution;-)

You obviously slept well, a customer wrote with humor last year that our beds were a trap and it was too hard to get out of the duvet in the morning!

We look forward to seeing you on your next stay. We set up new services : now a new Parisian dress rental service is possible through our partnership with "My Couture Corner", soon scented candles, and lots of other ideas to beautify your stays.

We wish you the best for the holiday end of year season, and would be delighted to welcome you during your next stay in Paris

Sincerly Yours

The hotel was near perfect. The location was fun (lots of restaurants, stores and central to all the cites) and it was very clean and modern. The furniture was very comfortable and the bathroom was what I hope to have at home someday. The room itself was very small (as in my husband and I had to take turns at the closet or passing to the door) but they made great use of the space (and the bed was large). I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 simply due to the following little gripes: They give ipads out at reception for use during the stay but we could not get reception in our room. I would have loved a clock in the room too. We didn't get refreshed toiletries even when we left the empty bottle(s) out in in plain view. All in all a great space and very quiet (you would never know the bustle going on outside from your room). When we return to Paris, we will likely stay here again.

Room Tip: I had email requested a room with a view and got a response back that we would have a room overlooki...

Dear Lindzjd,

Thank you for taking the time to bring your experienced opinion.

We are sorry you had a bad connection in the room, and we hope you had reported to us so that we could have used our network expert, which would probably have solved this problem.

We have also noted your desire to have a clock in your room and will not fail to consider this application in our future investments.

Concerning the supply of home products, this is actually quite abnormal because the products are usually replenished daily. So we re aware the teams on this.

We invite our guests to inform us on the problems that we solved them during your stay. Our teams are at your disposal to solve any problems day and night.

Finally, we are glad you enjoyed the quiet of the hotel in the typical Parisian life.

We wish you a wonderful New Year celebrations and look forward to welcoming you on your next stay,

Sincerly Yours

Agree that the staff makes this hotel an outstanding place to rest your weary heads after long days exploring the city. They made our stay so pleasant with their friendliness and helpfulness. We were there eight nights, and very happy with everything. The hotel is very clean, which was important to us, the rooms modern and recently renovated (small but compact), wifi and tv included, along with ipads to borrow, and it is located on a great street with many stores and restaurants. Also, it is close to the Metro and to many major tourist attractions. Thanks to Claire and Benoit for representing the hotel so well!

Room Tip: Our room was on the first floor, off the courtyard. We had no problem with noise, and enjoyed the p...

Dear 645ellen,

Your opinion is a great reward. Claire et Benoît were very happy to meet your needs and guide you in your Parisian escapes. It is often the part of their work as receptionists they prefer because it allows them to interact with so many rich and diverse cultures.

We are pleased that you liked the room amenities.

You rightly point out the very easy access to most of the monuments of Paris. We even have direct access to the Chateau de Versailles 30 minutes by RER. All Saint Dominique team is available to assist you in the selection of transport as you tested.

We wish you a wonderful year-end holidays and hope to have the joy of seeing you on your next visit to Paris,

Sincerely yours,

The reception staff is truly outstanding in their friendliness, efficient manners and helpfulness. The hotel is very clean with good attention to details. WiFi is free and excellent in speed and reception. Still need to make the traveller aware about the rooms: they are very small - but then again, not unusual for France. But so small, that there is not even a chair or else to put your clothes. Closet so tiny, that the cannot hang the pants without them creasing. Table so small, that next to your laptop there is no room for much else. Then there are rooms on the ground floor accessible through the inner courtyard. In the courtyard there are are some chairs and tables for all guests to use for coffee or drinks or else. We had a room with a bathroom window and a bedroom window and a door window into this courtyard. Any guest traversing the courtyard to get to their rooms, or to sit there and eat/drink/talk is literally 50 cm from your bed pillow. You see and hear everything both ways. No privacy. You can close heavy curtains, but then you might as well be in a cellar. Actually you might anyway because the courtyard is narrow and tall, from the window you cannot see the sky (when was the last time that from your hotel room window you could not even see the sky?). And when it rains you drag water and dirt straight into the room. There is no "entrance", "patio", "small roof" or anything. Come to think, the rooms on the ground floor must previously have been used as laundry kitchen, bike storage, etc. now they are hotel rooms. And 4**** too? A pity. Would have given the hotel a much higher rating for the initial points, but these rooms killed it.

Room Tip: No ground floor!! But higher room also not much bigger, but at least have some privacy and see the s...

Dear SunriseSki,

Thank you first of all for taking the time to review posts on triadvisor and tocompliment about the area, kindness and professionalism of our staff and cleanliness of the hotel, the quality of wifi, and our much attention to many details.

Except if i make a mistake, I think you were in room number 04, on the ground floor, and we are very sorry that it did not like you. This room allows our customers very mixed, some much appreciated because it is spacious and the bathroom is very nice. Other client does not apreciate lack of privacy due to the openings on the ground floor still leaving this room a little dark in my personal taste.

It seems that you have shared with the reception desk your disappointment and we tried to offer solutions that were unsuitable I agree: drinks provided at the bar or breakfast offered ... We sensitized the teams in this case rather propose a change of room and we apologize for this blunder on our part.

We hope to have all in all the pleasure to welcome you during your next stay, and if not, we wish you a pleasant continuation
