“Great Location!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 20, 2012

What can't be beat is it's location in central Paris. We took the Thello train from Venice Italy to Gare Du Nord and then jumped on the Metro, and it's literally just a few minutes walk away from the Franklin D Roosevelt station. From the metro you can get any where in Paris. Also, you're less than 5 minutes from Louis Vuitton and Arc de Triomphe.

The room was spacious being a dual level. Typical Marriott hotel that was pretty clean. However, being so centrally located where the action was, it was really loud at nights on the weekend. I don't mind a some partying till 2am or so, but the noise was just loud. So if you're really sensitive to sound at night, you should request something with windows not facing the street.

Front desk was great, but the one disappointment was Concierge. Being the first time in Paris I was hoping to get some special insights to dealing with the crowds or lines at the Eiffel Tower, Louvre, or other key attractions. All they really did was hand me a preprinted map, and added a few comments. You're better off querying the Tripadvisor forum for guidance. If anything, one suggestion would be to pre-buy your Eiffel Tower ticket. To wait when one lift is working is like waiting for the standby line for Cars ride at Disneyland - 2 hours.

Stayed overnight at the Marriott. Early check in. Awesome room. Incredible location. This Hotel is one of the best but the price is too high to pay for the services provided. The room was very spacious and clean. I will recommend this hotel incase you plan to travel to Paris. All the Best.

Stayed overnight at the Marriott. Early check in. Awesome room. Incredible location. Checked in after a along delayed trans Atlantic flight. Got to hotel and they upgraded our room and let US check right in. Got some great advice from the concierge, had some wonderful coffee in the lobby. toured the city. Although weather was not the best, still enjoyed my 3rd visit to Paris. Then night came, and Champs Elysees was wonderfully illuminated.
Can't say enough about the location or the professionalism of the staff.

Room Tip: Upgrade to executive level.

It was a good trip, nice to be near the Arc but the neighborhood and surrounding blocks must be declining when compared to previous reviews.

I came away unhappy with the price/value for the hotel especially when coupled with the level of begging just outside the doorstep and the excessive trash blowing around on the sidewalk.

Although rumored to be much better, the breakfast was not satisfying, even when paying for the upgrade. It was included in our room rate but the last 2 days we skipped it and ate at local cafes -- that was much better.

We won't be back as we saw several other great options (in "friendlier" neighborhoods) and at a much better value.

The hotel is very nice...very nice location. Having said that here's the problem. The lobby has a bar that the bartender has not cleaned nor has he waited on any of the tables. Partially, because the tables are covered with dirty dishes as is the bar. He actually rolled his eyes when he was requested to refill a customers chip tray. The other staff (waiters and room service) stand and do not do a thing - like clear a table. The "manager" would socialize, but he did not pick up a dish or glass. Many of the lobby tables are reserved for certain groups, often the same tables were set with the reserve on it for two days - this is a lobby...there is not other place to sit, wait or relax, so between the dirty and reserved tables, there were no other options.
The door staff were very attentive and courteous - the same with the conceriege - very nice.

WeE have stayed here several times and it is always very nice. The hotel has a very small entrance on the street, but opens up inside. The lobby bar is nice, but expensive of course, and all the rooms we have had were quiet and comfortable. I usually stay awat from hotel restaurants, but they do a very good breakfast in a friendly airey room. It is often free with the room.
Outside you are on the Champs-Elysees which these days is somewhat tacky and touristy, but worht seeing the view and and down and it is easy to walk to many of the wonderful places Paris has to offer. The metro is only a few steps away and provides good access all over Paris.
We come back as often as we can.

Room Tip: If you can get and Executive room would be complementary breakfast, which can easily save you 20/25...

This hotel is really a good 4 star hotel, and for that you get a well presented hotel with excellent staff and are right in the centre of Paris. It is not far to walk to all the main attractions. We were only there one night and didn't eat at the hotel other than breakfast, which we didn't find the service to be particularly great. We did have a drink from the bar and can not fault the service. In all the staff were lovely. We would recommend this hotel to anyone who likes a bit of luxury but doesn't want to pay the top end Paris prices.
