“Magnifique!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2013

My Mom and I stayed at Ares for four days and absolutely loved it! We couldn't believe how incredible our room was upon opening the door. We were in room 65, which has a wrap-around balcony, and great views of the neighbourhood. Our bathroom was beautiful, with Versace tiles and Hermes toiletries.

The location was ideal - not touristy and noisy, yet within walking distance to the Eiffel Tower. We enjoyed shopping at Monoprix, and eating at the local restaurants - Le Suffren and Cafe Primrose being our favourites. There is easy access to the Metro, which makes navigating the city quite easy.

The staff were so kind and helpful. A special thanks to Severine (I'm sorry, I probably spelled that wrong) who gave us tips on where to get gluten-free bread, allowed us to use the hotel's microwave to heat up take away food, and called a taxi for us.

LOVED this place!

My Husband and I have been to Paris twice and both times, we've stayed here. I recommend the hotel to anyone and everyone. It's quaint. It's immaculate. The staff is friendly. It's close to Champ de Mars and of course, the Tower. Wonderful experience. We plan to return to Paris soon and don't plan on staying anywhere else!

The hotel rooms were small as to be expected with European hotels, but very accommodating. All of the finishing a were high end and the A/C and free Wifi worked well. The hotel staff was also very nice and helpful.

The location was a bit disappointing, especially for the price. There was no view of the Eiffel Tower from any room in the hotel, and the building was situated down an alley about four or five streets away from the tower (10 minutes walk), well out of the touristy area. Walking to the hotel at night or even in the dusk hours was very intimidating, as many "shady" people were around.

Overall, the hotel rooms, services, and staff were great, but I honestly can't recommend the hotel due to its poor location.

My husband and I stayed at Ares for 6 nights and were there to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. This hotel is a real find! The location is excellent and quiet, the decor is beautiful, the staff is wonderful and accomodating, our room was extremely comfortable, especially the bed! Whatever we needed they happily provided including an adapter for our electrical needs. We had free wi fi which was wonderful and truly enjoyed the breakfast buffet a few times during our stay. There is true pride of ownership at Ares with ever detail thoughtfully considered. I have never stayed at a cleaner place and I tend to notice when things are sub par. From the location, you can easily walk to the Eiffel Tower, local markets and restaurants including Starbucks. We went to Monoprix market which had terrific prepared salads, cheeses, breads and much more! The metro is right around the corner and with a prepaid card we travelled all over the city as well as connecting to trains that took us to Versaille and Normandy! We will definetly return to this beautiful hotel. Kudos and thanks to the owners and staff! Special thanks to The owners who left us a sweet gift for our anniversary.

My family (husband and two kids) stayed at Ares 4 nights over Bastille Day weekend. Ares met our expectations for a Paris hotel in an outstanding fashion. The staff was professional and helpful. The beds were the best of our 3 week journey. We did not partake in the buffet breakfast but it appeared lovely. Ares is a small hotel and I think all the rooms were booked with Americans during our stay. It certainly has earned a good reputation. This corner of the 15th arrondissemont is significantly less hustle and bustle than the tourist's Paris but still within 10 minutes of major attractions via the Metro. It was nice to retire to this neighborhood for dinner and rest after beating the pavement all day. The foot of the Eiffel Tower is within a 15 minute walk and you can arrive at the Parc and Ecole Militaire within a few minutes by foot. Having access to 3 Metro lines at La Motte Piquette was priceless. I spent hours researching hotels and reviews on Trip Advisor before booking and was pleased I settled on this property.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the street are quiet and provide a nicer view than those on the south. Double deluxe w...

This was a wonderful hotel in Paris. Staff speaks English and could not be more helpful. Rooms are decent size considering it's Europe. Nice sized bathrooms. Did not utilize the breakfast facilities. Only negative is that I wasn't too crazy about the neighborhood. Very safe, but a little too residential. Close to the metro though.
Would stay again.
