We have just returned from a long weekend in Paris and had a wonderful time. The hotel was excellent and the staff very helpful. The room was great and much bigger than we expected after staying at other Paris hotels. We had our 14mth son with us and they supplied a large cot which looked brand new! The only faults would be the lack of a bar or restaurant (as we stayed in with our child at night) but we knew that before we booked so not a complaint just an observation. A note to anyone with children, the Paris Metro is not designed for parents with children! An absolute nightmare! You can't go through normal barriers so you rely on staff opening the door, but on a number of occasions no one was there or answered the intercom!? Left trying to get through the barriers with a pram!? Very few escalators and lifts too so expect to carry the stroller up and down stairs! Or take a cab! :)

The hotel is located near the metro station La Motte Picquet Grenelle and is approximately a short 15-20 min walk from the Eiffel Tower. Centrally located with good cafes, supermarket and shopping just around the corner. I stayed on the second floor. Room is small but sufficient and kept very clean. For the brand-conscious, the hotel provides Hermes shampoo, gel and lotion. Bathroom tiles of Versace. Comfortable bed and soft linen. Makes a great stay.

The downside - I was at the hotel with heavy luggage and was tired from a previous trip hence, wished there was a bell boy or assistant to help me carry the luggage to my room. Also, I extended my time at the hotel by half a day (until 8pm) instead of checking out at 12pm. Given that it was low season and the hotel did not have 100% occupancy, I wished they charged me less for a half day stay. Overall, friendly staff and good experience :)

For my birthday last week and guided by the reviews felt confident about booking the Ares hotel, we were not disappointed, a wonderful hotel which is faultless, worth every one of the five stars we have given. In our opinion the standard of cleanliness surpassed any other hotel we have stayed in, the welcoming and helpful staff made us feel as though we had been staying with friends, our room No. 54 was beautifully fitted out with very comfortable bed, spotless linen, immaculate shower room plus Hermes toiletries, we couldn't have asked for more. Metro just a few miniutes walk as are some very good restaurants. Situated in a very nice, quiet residential area with easy access to the whole of Paris via public transport. Would definately recommend this hotel.

Honestly, I couldn't give a better review. This our First trip to Paris, as Americans we were nervous about quality.

We arrived at 8 am. The hotel allowed us to store our bags and then had a room by 10 AM. We took a quick nap and then off to see Paris. They speak wonderful English and are very hospitable. Very willing to discuss ideas and how to do things around Paris.

Our rooms was also wonderful, so nice. The bathtub and shower was very nice, very very clear. We stayed in Room 66 with a slight view of Eiffel. The Bed was also amazing. We wanted to take it how as our Souvenir. The Room as spectacularly clear.
Pricing to use the mini-bar was also very fair.

It is also close to some nice local shops/ Bistros, near the Metro and very close to the Eiffel tower.

Please Book this hotel with these wonderful people.. As we left the Agent even walked us to the door waving and saying Thank you Thank you.
