“Wow!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 4, 2012

We stayed for 2 nights at the end of March. After extensive research we chose Ares Eiffel and were utterly impressed. The service is amazing! We felt as if we were visiting family. The rooms are of course smaller than typical 4-star North American style rooms, but we were impressed with the effective use of space and amazing decor. The 5 euro-a-day for drinks in the minibar (non alcoholic) is a great deal! Hotel also very helpful in arranging shuttle to airport & you can also check-in on their computer in the lobby and print the boarding passes which was very convenient. Wifi service was available in rooms but not fast enough to play videos, only for Internet searches & checking email (we were on 4th floor). Only thing lacking was a coffee brewer in the room and lack of iron as well. But that is very minor ---- recommend Ares .... 4-star service & facilities at a very reasonable price (check for sales through Expedia!!)

A lovely hotel, a 10 minutes stroll to the Eiffel Tower. A 4 star, boutique hotel, where the staff were very helpful and friendly. The owner, a very pleasant Italian gentleman, introduced himself
on our first morning.
The metro station at La Motte Pique Grenelle is just 2 minutes away.
We were recommended a pleasant, reasonably price, place to eat. This was the Cafe Du Marche on Rue Cler, about a 10 minutes stroll along the Avenue La Motte Pique.

I loved loved loved this hotel. The entrance, lobby and seating area were chic, elegant and fun. I booked a classic room and was upgraded to what I think was a superior room. The room was very spacious, perfectly styled and more than I would expect in Europe at that price point. The bathroom was stunning. Brand new, spotless clean, even the baseboards behind the door. Their maids are the best ever. The rain shower was great and I used the tub every night. The bed was very comfortable but not a true king - it was two single beds pushed together to make a king.

Location is well placed and near a metro, good restaurants, shopping and a outdoor market. The Eiffel tower is blocks away. The front desk staff were very nice and helpful with any questions that I had.

I only had one issue - a lack of an internal locking mechanism. As I often travel on business by myself, the fact there was no extra lock inside the room keeping out everybody including hotel staff was a bit unnerving. Perhaps they could add a chain - this would have added a bit more peace of mind for me and wouldn't ruin the esthetic of the room in the slightest.

I didn't have the breakfast but at 18 euros, do not bother. It looked delicious - just go anywhere for a 1.50 euro croissant instead!

returned to Paris and stayed again at the Ares Eiffel -- enjoyed the stay just as much as the first time, even if the room was smaller, the comfort, service and location were all the same.

Once again Tripadvisor steered us right! We were looking for a quiet, but central location for a week in Paris and this was perfect. Hotel is clean and well appointed with friendly and helpful staff. There are numerous excellent restaurants close by to take care of breakfast (if you don't want to pay the 16 euros for the decent hotel one), lunch or dinner. Even has a Starbucks around the corner if you need a more familiar caffeine fix. It is one of several cafes, bistros and wine bars that offer good spots to people watch on a sunny afternoon or evening. The hotel is on a quiet backstreet, within a block of the main thoroughfare and the only noise was of children in the local school playground at around 8.30 in the morning.

As others have pointed out, the Eiffel Tower is no more than a 10 minute walk away. The Rodin museum, Military museum, Napoleon's tomb and Rue Cler are also within 10 to 15 minutes and if you are going to the other main museums and sights, the 3 lines served by the La Motte - Picquet metro station can get you to most of them directly within 15 minutes. We also found the #69 bus, which leaves from Champs de Mars in front of the Eiffel Tower, to be a very convenient way to get to the Louvre, Notre Dame, the Pompidou Center, etc if you prefer your travel above ground. The train for Versailles leaves from Javel, just 3 stops beyond La Motte - Picquet.

We will definitely use this well priced gem again on any future visits to Paris.

This was a fantastic place to stay in Paris. Convenient location, very friendly and helpful staff, and reasonably priced. WHat more is there?

We live on the outskirts of Paris and I just took my husband in for a weekend under the Eiffel Tower for his birthday. Chose this hotel based on location and trip advisor reviews and couldn't have been more pleased. Stayed in room 72 ( a junior suite) on the top floor with a view of the top half of the Eiffel tower from our very comfortable circular bed, the tower all lit up and sparkling at night. Very romantic. The room had plenty of space, Versace bathroom and deco and very clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. This was the best part of our experience- excellent service. A complementary bottle of champagne was waiting for us in the room. The hotel was super quiet at night. The breakfast was a little expensive but good. Easy walk to bars, metro, Eiffel Tower, cafes and the Seine. In the middle of the Suisse Village, an area for antique stores. No bar or restaurant but there is a good room service menu that they must source from somewhere local. Highly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: 72. Good view of top half of Eiffel tower from circular bed. Quiet and spacious.
