This is a small but very friendly hotel.. It is ideal for getting around Paris as the Metro station - about 20 yards away - serves four different lines. Staff are exceptionally friendly and rooms are smallish but nice. Make sure you ask for a room at the back. FIrstly, you get nice views over Paris and the front is a bit noisy due to the amount of traffic. In terms of restaurants it is okay but nothing special. Hotel states it is in latin quarter but really, that is a 15 minute walk away.

We just got back from a wonderful 3 week trip to Europe which we started in Paris and at this hotel. I wanted a truly quaint hotel that felt like Paris and this hotel surely lived up to that. We were there for 6 days and found this hotel to be charming. It is located on busy street and there is street noise, which just adds to the charm. We were fortunate to have an attic room facing the road. Our sixth floor window was great to look out and watch the Paris traffic both on foot and car.. The metro stop is outfront the front door which is convenient. I am 54 years old and found I could walk to most places I wanted including the Eiffel Tower, The Arch , Champ Ellyse... Busses are easy to catch near the hotel as well. Many restaurnats near the hotel and we love one called 1900 which is only a couple of door away. There were grocery stores nearby so we could bring warm French Bread back to the room for an evening snack. The breakfast was served in the charming basement of this establishment and was usually croissants, rolls, yoguart, fruit, cereal, milk, hot cocoa, coffee.... quite adequate. The bathroom had all the things we needed, including a hair dryer, shower, tub, shampoo, bathing salts, etc....

This is an older hotel, but has the charm I was looking for at a great price...I would stay here again.

This hotel is located right outside Montparnasse Bienvenue metro station which is convenient for accessing all sights in Paris (four lines meet at this station). The hotel is decent, the staff were polite and the rooms were small but clean. I think the only two things to note are the elevator is very small (if you have a large suitcase, take heed) and the pillow is like a rolled up t-shirt tucked into the bedsheet which isn't very comfortable. Other than that, everything else is great and if you're simply doing a weekend visit on a budget, this hotel will definitely meet expectations.

My friend and I stayed at this hotel for 1 wk, we shared a twin room on the 5th floor facing the street and LOVED IT!! We had a balcony, windows that swung open, CNN, a minibar, a spotless bathroom, good shower, very good water pressure with plenty of hot water, comfortable beds and good pillows, clean fresh towels everyday, very friendly and helpful day staff, lobby high speed internet, all at the low price of 128E per night. You can't beat it! Sure the room was small, but I've been in smaller rooms in Europe and this was just fine. We booked directly from the hotel's internet site. If you can't stand the noise outside your bedroom window, ask for a room in the back, or better yet, stay outside the city. We had no lack of choice for cosey bistros, wonderful restaurants, typical cafes, and tons of shopping all around us. It was fantastic. We walked, walked and walked some more. That's the best way to see this city. We booked a fews tours with Paris Vision and loved them all. They're not cheap, but well worth every penny. Go to the region of Champagne. What a delight that was!! Also, if you can stand a four hr bus ride, head on up to Mont St Michel, simply breathtaking. I can't wait to go back and visit some more. People were very friendly and never rude (I speak French so I guess that helped). Splurge a little and have a hot chocolate at Cafe Angeline...out of this world, and not to be missed, visit the lobby and have a drink at Hotel Crillon...tres chic!!! We ate and drank very well. No need to spend a fortune on your hotel...Hotel VI was more than satisfying. It truly is a great little hotel in the city of lights!!
