“Lovely accomodation”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 28, 2012

We found the hotel accomodation to be very nice although the bedroom was a little smaller than the one we stayed in at South Kensington, London. We did have an issue with the key card not working intermittently but the concierge came up and was able to fix it. It was a short walk to the Eiffel Tower (10-15 minutes), across from a Metro and there were numerous cafes very close. Also across from the Monoprix, very convenient for picking up foodstuffs, wine or just to shop for cosmetics at good prices - they have other departments of course but I was impressed with this part. The desk staff was not effusive but I found them cordial and helpful. I wish I could remember the name of the gentleman who was there during our stay in August; he was most helpful when we were leaving. We had a car pickup arranged by our travel agent back home but it needed to be confirmed & my french is far from fluent. When I showed him the confirmation he automatically reached for the phone, smiling & saying he thought it was better if he confirmed for us in case of any misunderstanding. We were there 4 nights from Aug 24, checking out the a.m. of the 28th - myself, my adult son & daughter.

The rooms are not the best but acceptable. My biggest issue was with the staff attitude. They clearly don't like their job. Worst of all was Isabel who was very rude, condesending and never helpful. I don't know why the management tolerates this behaviour from their staff. Clearly thse reviews reflect the poor quality of customer service. Sylvain was the exception, always happy and eager to please.
Avoid this place as it may ruin your whole Parisian experience.

I have only good things to say about this hotel ! From the great location, spacious studios, AMAZING staff and management, everything was just perfect form the day we arrived til the day we left.
We arrived early in the morning, about 9h30am and even though check-in is not til 2pm the receptionist, Sylvain radioed the housekeeping and rallied them around to get us a room within about 25 minutes. In the mean time we took the opportunity to have a very filling and great value for money buffet breakfast in the hotel. As we were having breakfast the General Manager Elizabeth introduced herself to us and gave us great advice on things to do in the city. In fact throughout our entire stay (6 nights) we often bumped into her and she really made us feel so welcome, as did her entire team who all spoke great English and had great local knowledge.
We had a fabulous studio, about 90 feet with a great double bed and a kitchen that is by far the most complete one we stayed in on our whole European trip. There was a fantastic view of the Eiffel Tower and the only overland metro in the city, which by the way if you keep the windows closed you don't even hear it roll by.
The studio was impeccably clean and had been recently redecorated. We were told that they had just re decorated 3 floors of the property and will do another few floors in 2012.
We knew that it was an apartment hotel and therefore daily cleaning was not included, just one service in the middle of our stay. Even though they offer a range of optional services like daily cleaning, we decided not to avail of them as at home we don't change our towels every day, and come on, how hard is it to pull up a duvet to make a bed ?!
We really felt at home in our "Parisian" apartment and the market opposite along with the selection of food stores around allowed us to stay in some nights, cook a simple "french" meal and kick back with a bottle of wine. Bliss.
We are seasoned travelers, who together and or separately have visited 4 continents for work and leisure and having stayed in all kinds of hotels, and resorts are not the easiest people to please. In fact our friends say we should become travel critics. However we were not only pleased, but overwhelmed by this place, we would recommend this hotel in a heartbeat. In terms of budget it was a bit more than what we planned to pay (about 190 euros per night) but was well worth it. In fact we liked it so much we have included it to our list of "places to return to". Well done to Citadines Tour Eiffel, keep up the great work, and thank you for making our stay in Paris even more special !

Room Tip: If you want full hotel services and not the weekly clean, then reserve a "club" room. Or r...

My husband and myself stayed here for four nights. Two receptionists of this hotel were rude not helpful in anyway we asked about travelling by train to arras and was told that she wasn't a conceriege so go somewhere else. The other lady as soon as we arrived she kept making sure that we had to pay for city fees for staying here also all the fees of the hotel eg changing towels, making beds and putting out our rubbish. It certainly made our stay here one never to forget it also has soured our trip to Paris. Never never again!!!!!

Stayed for 5 nights. Great location next to metro ( no noise but some vibration - which we didnt notice after 1st day), supermarket next door, eifel tower - 5 minute walk to view, 15 min to base. The hotels Wifi was fast and reliable. The Staff were very helpful. Rooms starting to age but no complaints. Lots of hot water. Did miss having an oven but microwave and cooktop made do! Highly recommend!
