Formula hotel, clean and efficient, nothing to complain about. Really appreciated the kettle in the room. Breakfast at ?19.50/pp was expensive, it is easy to pick up food a lot cheaper in a café or patisserie so probably best declined.

Fantastic location for the Eiffel Tower, and everywhere else, we never got lost as we just looked for the tower! However, we, unlike the previous review, didn't find the staff very helpful, which we found frustrating. However the room was clean and comfortable, faultless. But we were perturbed to find you could open the window out wide, and we were on the ninth floor!!!!!
We also found some great little cafe/bistros very close by, a lovely district. But despite the issues with the staff, we had a fabulous stay. I would recommend it for the area.

We spent three nights in this hotel which we chose as it is at the foot of the Eifel Tower. The local Metro Station is conveniently just round the corner and the RER station is even closer. The breakfasts were great - wide choice and more than enough to keep yuo going all day. The let down was our room! The clothing cupboard had a loose shelf and the "free" mini-bar is a joke (only water). Our shower leaked water all over the bathroom floor. A shame about these little things as the bed was comfortable and the lights were bright enough to read by - which is not always the case. I would say this hotel is worth three stars rather than the four they display!

Room Tip: Some rooms have a view of the Eilel Tower

This hotel was booked through Expedia. It was a 2min walk to the Eiffel tower, an excellent location for those visiting Paris for the first time. We upgraded our room to have a view of the Eiffel Tower, there is a hotel in front of the Mercure but the Eiffel Tower looked spectacular on an evening when it was lit up.
The reception staff were very helpful, our room was on the 11th floor and it was very clean and comfortable. The bed had a firm mattress and two pillows each one firm and one soft. (To suit all needs) We found the facilities to be more than adequate. Large shower area, plenty of toiletries, towels with a separate wc.
Plenty of wardrobe space and coat hangers.

We booked to stay for 3 nights for our Honeymoon in January. The room we were allocated initially was right by the lift and we found it quite noisy, we asked to move rooms and the reception staff were very helpful and moved us right away without hesitation. The second room was perfect, very well appointed and spotlessly clean. The bed was very large and comfortable. The shower was really powerful and hot water plentiful, I didn't want to get out.

The location of the hotel is brilliant. Less than 5 minutes from the Metro and RER station and 2 minutes from the Eiffel Tower. There are plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby and a small patisserie around the corner that made the most amazing pain au chocolat. However, I did nearly choke when we were charged 8 euros for a glass of coke.

What made our honeymoon even more enjoyable was the heavy snowfall in Paris during our stay. Very romantic :)

Can't fault this hotel at all, we had a fantastic time and would certainly recommend to anyone and would be more than happy to stay here again.

My boyfriend paid $190 euros for this hotel for one night we stayed in a privallage room. It really was not worth the money.
Where to start.......
the hotel states it has a car park online but no where does it state they charge $28 a day on top of the expensive rooms.
The view of the eiffel tower was a shambale. We had a massive hotel in front of it, so you could only see half of the tower, which i must state would be seen from a long way. The hotel in front of our room had windows smashed and looked a right dump, not what you expect to look out and see when you pay them prices.
We paid extra for a dressing gown and slippers to only recieve one set, when we had booked a double room.
The rooms provide coffee but the pods were all decafinated coffee ( you get six) and then only get two pods of milk, which clearly is not enough.
Hotel prices were soooooo expensive, charging $5 for a can of coke.
Overall a real let down.

Dear Emily,

We thank you for having taken some of your time to give us your impression concerning your recent stay in our hotel.
We are sincerely sorry that the room did not meet totally your expectations.

Concerning the view you had from your room, the building you mention situated next door is an hotel which is undertaking for the moment doing some renovation works. We won’t be able to do anything about the surroundings, we are afraid.

We have informed our Housekeeper Manager of your remarks concerning the coffee facilties and the VIP products.
We do equipped all our Privilege rooms with 1 pair of slippers and 1 wardrobe, a second one can be brought on request for your information.

We hope that your experience will not spoile your opinion about the Mercure hotels.

Best Regards,

Laurent Mauguit,
