“Good location, friendly people”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 29, 2012 via mobile

The hotel was right next to the metro station, which helped us a lot to move around the city. The room was rather small but clean. Breakfast was not included in the price, so we had breakfast just once, since I thought there were lots of cheaper alternatives. Nevertheless, the staff was so polite and helpful that I would definitely revisit when in Paris.

We very recently spent several nights at the Mercure Paris Tour Eiffel Grenelle in Paris. The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. Our room was simple but had the usual amenities. One of the best aspects of the hotel was a great fitness and sauna facility. The hotel is directly across the street from the Dupleix Metro station and this is a great convenience. Unfortunately, at this point the subway runs above ground and is actually an eyesore along Boul. Grenelle. It can also be noisy as the subway trains run frequently. The buffet breakfast is very pricey. Walk down the street to Dia or Marche Franprix and buy fruit, bread and cheese and make your own breakfast. This hotel would be good for the first time traveller to Paris because the metro is so handy and you are not far from the Eiffel Tower.

Room Tip: Try to get a room with a view of the Eiffel Tower. It is lit up at night.

Front desk was great, kind and helpful. Stored my bags until my room was ready without hesitation. Room was 103 on the first floor. Situated towards Grenelle and Dupleix station is can be heard from the room during the day but very quiet at night. Bed was comfortable and clean. Bathroom was a little dirty, mold in the shower and cracked tile in a few places. Cleaning service efficient and done mid afternoon. The location of the hotel is pretty good. Many good cafes close with an Irish bar next door that has a great Belgian beer selection. If the room was updated and super clean I would give it a 4 star for sure. I believe my company paid close to 250 Euros a night, not sure if it is worth that, but anything under 200 would be a great price.

Room Tip: request a view of the Eiffel tower on a higher level floor. I was on the first floor and could see i...

We were early in arriving, but the staff was very helpful and stored our luggage, as a room we had reserved didnt become available the staff upgraded us for the whole stay and we got a room with a view of the Effiel Tower...Additionallly we were there during the latest elections and got a birds eye view of he celebration of a socialist victory...Plenty of resturants to choose from, easy walking and close to the subway...If you want to see sites, you have choises, cab, subway with very helpful attendents, or just walk..The locals were very friendly and the staff all spoke english..Thought the hotel was a great deal...

Room Tip: Rooms of the northside have a view of the Eiffel Tower..

Being English literate & french illiterate we were apprehensive how we would enjoy our holiday in Paris, Lourdes in France. I learnt a few words Bon jour, Merci, Parle vous Anglais ? I was surprised how many French speaking people helped us. The hotel staff were so helpful in their best English especially the girl Kenza. She helped us immensely by contacting Easyjet as we had some difficulty expressing ourselves in French regarding our excess luggage & our Metro train journeys. This hotel is a stone's throw to the Metro station Dupleix, laundromat, restaurants, supermarket Could see the Eiffel Tower from the right Angle. However my room was not in direct vision. I would definitely go back if I go to Paris again. Breakfast was reasonable & included in my room charges. Kenza our able & friendly receptionist arranged our return airport transfer by getting us an early departure. I would be failing if I did not mention Matthew who did make us feel welcome. So well done to Kenza & the other staff who made our French holiday worthwhile

Everything was ok, people at reception and breakfast were friendly. Good bed, well isolated room.
Location is great, close to Eiffel towel and place des invalids.
However quite expensive. Breakfast ok, but very expensive
