“Great location and still a great staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 8, 2014

A block from Gare du Nord the hotel is in a great location. Many small restaurants in the area to choose from. This being my second stay in a larger room and although it is not very large the room is big enough for the little time spent in it. The staff was once again incredible with directions and assisting with ideas of things to see and do. There is subway access a half block away and taxis always in the area. Although a hotel has opened on the side of the hotel I was on and it did get a bit loud in the early evening the bed is comfortable and I slept great. If in Paris again I will not hesitate to once again stay at the Albert Premier.

Hotel location was the main attraction. The rooms were just acceptable. One of the lights wasn't working and I reported it broken but it wasn't fixed for the following night, when a 2nd bulb blew too.

3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 24, 2013

We stayed three nights here having travelled by Eurostar, wanting somewhere we could walk to and find easily on our arrival. This fitted the bill. As you come out of the station's main entrance signed Rue Dunkirque or Place Napoleon, turn left keeping on the station side and you can see a blue sign just above eye level in front of you. You have to cross a couple of roads but at least you can see where you are going.
Our room was small but comfortable. There was shower gel and soap provided and tea and coffee making facilities. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice and service was exceptional, with the offer to communicate in English.
The only drawback was the noise at night as that area is very lively all the time. We felt perfectly safe though and found people very helpful. There are plenty of bars and brasseries around though we didn't eat in the area.

Dear Guest,

We would like to thank you to have chosen the Hôtel Albert 1er and also taking the time to give us your feedback.
Regarding the noisy, is it true. The hotel is between two big stations (Gare du nord and Gare de l'Est) this is an area with lots of traffic.
Do not hesitate to contact us to enjoy our best offer.
We 'll have the pleasrue of welcomming you back very soon.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 17, 2013

Our travel agent wasn't coming up with any hotel options in our price range in the areas of Paris where we wanted to stay, so I took a chance on finding a room online. The Albert Premier was a great choice for us. The rate was competitive, the room was clean, and the staff was very helpful. It was close to metro stops, making it easy to navigate the city. And while it had all amenities such as wireless and air conditioning, there was still an old world charm to the building that made it feel special. I would absolutely recommend this hotel ! We thoroughly enjoyed our six day stay with them.

We stay here only for one day after a very bad experience on a hotel close! The room was nice decorated and very comfortable and very clean. The staff very polite and respectful, a very big thanks to Ugo at the reception who went out of his way to give us a room that we wanted. The breakfast was delicious.

Hotel was few mins walk from station. Room was clean and modern. You can walk to Sacre Coeur from hotel, was 15 minute stroll. Would recommend the open top bus tour which stops at all the places you want to visit. River cruise was lovely too.
