I used to live on the street adjacent to this hotel and love the location. The Latin Quarter is so full of youth and life and every time I return to Paris I'm compelled to walk through here for the markets and to enjoy a glass of wine while people-watching from an outdoor seat at a cafe. The hotel itsself is nothing special. The rooms are tiny- we could barely fit our luggage in the room without toppling over it, so best to stay here if you don't plan on being in the room at all except to sleep. The shower room was very cramped but it was nice having a separate room for the toilet (though no windows in either bathroom with no ventilation is not always fun!). Didn't go for the breakfast option as there are too many choices out the front door. Book early, word's out on this one!

Took the easy way out and booked a package with Air France to cover the first couple of days on a France/Benelux vacation. Mistake. Tiny, tiny hotel. Two people could not walk around this hotel room at the same time and one could NOT even turn in the tiny shower. The elavator could not reasonalbe hold two people and their carry-on luggage. Left after two days and lost the 3rd night - but worth leaving the aggravation!
Only advantage was easy access to Norte Dame and a great neighborhood filled with restaurants just outside; but trhey did turn very LOUD late in the night as the drunk folks left the bars.

we arrived at midnight and given a back room as requested after reading trip advisor reviews .It was so depressing and small and dark that we didnt think we would stay for our 4 nights .we asked the night desk clerk to change and he showed my husband a similar room but said we could not change we had to ask the manager .
First thing next morning we asked the front desk to change room and we were given a key for room 42 .
This was a nice size light room with french windows and a view of all the action in the area and after this we were satisfied .
As we had read , it was noisy during the night which is ok in the winter but must be hard in the summer as there is no air conditioning and the windows need to be left open .We had no problems with delivery trucks or rubbish vans in the morning ,it was actualy very quiet
The breakfast was good for a hotel of this class with nice fresh croissants and cheese ,cereal etc and we had no trouble getting a table every day .
The front desk staff were very friendly and they were very good with the left luggage on the last day and keeping my cheeses in the fridge.
The area is the big plus full of small restaurants with good priced meals Lunch for a 3 course 15 Euro and Lunch 12Euro ,we tried 4 different restaurants and they were all good including the one right next door to the hotel
The small shops for clothes ,cheeses ,wines were very nice including the open air market and as there was no traffic on the cobbled streets it had a village feel and was a real plus .
We would most certainly recommend this hotel and also stay there again
(Just do not expect luxury plain and clean and well positioned )

I agree with all the other reviews here. Rooms are tiny but clean. Staff was not overly friendly. Continental breakfast was fair enough.
And Location is great but... we had a room facing Rue Mouffetard and the noise from the college kids at the bars was non-stop the entire week we were there. (Was it spring break?) I'm usually not one to complain about noise and used to think I could sleep through it all, but it was nonstop! We had the nice new windows closed and earplugs in and still heard the constant shouting. Maybe a room off the street would be better.
