“Good hotel with great location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 week ago

Very nice hotel. We spent 3 nights and it was quite good experience:
The room that we had was spacious and clean.
The stuff are friendly
The location is very close to metro station but it is still close to main attractions by walking

I own Dancin Dipoug Travel Agency (DDT) and we are doing a "Trans EUROPE Express" trip. We started with 2 days in Paris, then a day in Brussels, then a day in Amsterdam and then 2 days in London--and then we return to Paris.
We stayed at the Opera Cadet in Paris. This is my third trip to Paris and 2nd time staying at the Opera Cadet. As always, the service and location is impeccable!!
I highly recommend it.
The rooms are nice and clean. The place is located right across the street from the Metro, which allows you to see EVERYTHING.
If you are going to Paris, be sure to stay here.

Room Tip: All the rooms are great. You either get the Garden or the front.

My travel agent booked this hotel for my first trip to Paris and it was amazing! So many great food shops on Rue Cadet! Also there is a Mcdonalds and a Starbucks across the road. There is a pharmacy and tobacco shop next door too. The glamorous shopping centre "Galleries Lafayette" was only 10min walk away plus the opera house is the same distance too. The concierges were all amazing..sooo helpful, they all spoke English and some Spanish (Maximus) They also will exchange your currency in cash and give you their own little "cheat sheet" for usng public transport to make going to Eiffel tower etc CHEAP! Book now as they are very quick to book out! Good Luck

Room Tip: I had a double room with a view of the street--AWESOME!

Again, I am perhaps remiss in not submitting this review earlier as we stayed here for several days last August (2014). My wife and I were sent here because the hotel originally booked by the travel agency around the corner on Rue Lafayette was booked out (thanks Hotel Opera Lafayette). We were later quite grateful because we felt that the Hotel Opera Cadet was far a better place to stay. We found the hotel service to be very helpful particularly it being our first trip to Paris, a good clean sunny room (which overlooked Rue Cadet below) a great breakfast in beautiful surroundings at the rear of the hotel. This hotel is in a relatively quiet but very convenient location, close to Paris Nord station and near many wonderful cafes, supermarkets and pleasant walk to the Opera Garnier area and the shopping in Galleries Lafayette. We look forward to staying here again.

Opera Cadet is a 6 story hotel in the heart of a typical Parisian neighborhood. There were plenty of shops and restaurants in the area. The hotel is a 3 minute walk to the Cadet metro stop. The room was typical for Paris-small. The bathroom had a tub/shower combination. The showerhead was detached. The relatively small flat screen TV had English stations but they had reception issues so we only got French channels until our last day. Not a very wide selection of channels- Mainly news. There was a free safe in the room but it was on the bottom of shelving unit. It was kind of hard to access without kneeling on the floor. The room was clean. The key is used to activate the electricity in the room. Wi-Fi in the room works but is a pain to log into. It is only good for 24 hours & then you need to re-register & get a new ID & password. Included in the price was a very good breakfast which included eggs, ham, hot sausages, pancakes, cereal, fruit, croissants, juice & coffee. Breakfast is served from 7AM – 10:30AM. I would definitely stay here again.

We chose this hotel through Jet2 Holidays and were not disappointed. Our room was both spotless and spacious and overlooked a quiet shaded garden. This garden must be a boon during the summer months. The staff were universally helpful and friendly. The location is the centre of Paris, convenient for walking to many areas and several Metro stations for more distant excursions. Breakfast was included in the price but a little basic. The hotel does not offer lunch or dinner but there are many excellent cafes and restaurants nearby.

Room Tip: Choose a room overlooking the garden

We chose the Opera Cadet Hotel from the United Vacation list based on reviews, location and price. Other comparatively similar hotels didn't offer a free breakfast which in Paris is a substantial savings. Hotel was a 1/2 block from Metro which enabled us to get wherever we needed to go. The front desk was excellent in handling questions regarding just about anything we needed or desired. There is no restaurant on site for lunch or dinner but there are sufficient and good restaurants in the area if you choose. There is a bar available with a beautiful sitting garden outside or a nice area inside if you prefer.

The room was typical European but comfortable. We didn't lack anything. At one time we called for extra towels and they were at the door within 5 minutes!

We enjoyed our stay there and wouldn't hesitate for a moment to recommend or say there again.
