“French Marriott”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

Sloppy service, luggage never delivered to room, lounge not clean and hardly serviced during peak hours. Glasses were filthy. Quality of lounge food poor compared to other Marriott's. Rooms okay but bathroom old, looks like this was a take-over by Marriott from prior owner. Not my Marriott next time in town, Vendome is much better.

We were upgraded to a Eiffel Tower view room in the 7th floor thanks to being platinum elite. The concierge lounge was very welcoming and well serviced. The facility interiors and rooms interiors are a bit worn but nicely maintained. The rooms a bit snug but if you don't require a large closet, they are ok. The location does not the electricity of the nearby champs de elysee but is central to all tourist attractions and still in a nice and trendy avenue full of shops and restaurants.

First of all it's not a bad hotel, in fact it's quite nice and rooms are big for Paris.
But for that price you certainly can expect more. The hotel got into Marriott family not too long ago and frankly requires some renovation. Some mold spots and chipped paint in the bathrooms, should be embarrassing for hotel of that class.
Plus, while concierge desk service was very competent, the rest of hotel staff was not so.
The executive lounge is suppose to serve food till 7:30, but when I showed up at 7:15, I was told, that the guests ate everything and they are not going to bring more food!!!! How is that my problem, that the manager cannot calculate the amount of food necessary for the amount of guests with access to executive lounge? Plus we were constantly waken up by cleaning crew around 9 am, knocking on our door or trying to open it.
Anyway, now for the good part - as I mentioned rooms are big and comfortable. Also very quiet. Location is convenient being near bus from the airport and a subway station. You can also have a nice stroll down grand boulevards, the hotel is on Haussmann boulevard, which turns into others the further you go toward Saint Deni. If you go left and left as you exit you can get to Montmartr in 15-20 minutes of walk. I love to walk in Paris, so I enjoyed it a lot.
Well to conclude, I liked the hotel, but didn't feel it was worth what they ask for it. The Rive Gauche Marriott were I stayed a week before, feels like a better value.

We reserved a king but got two double beds. We were offered a king but no AC and a tiny room so we moved back to the double bed room. We were traveling with friends who had a king ....also no AC.... I guess that's the package. Good breakfast and friendly staff.

We recently visited Paris and as my husband had accumulated a significant amount of Marriott points we looked for a Marriott hotel in Paris. There are a couple options, I think this location is the best. The location is ideal for exploring the city and the Roissy bus is just a short walk away for access to the airport. The hotel is quite elegant with a nice lobby. If you have access to the lounge and breakfast it really cuts down on your cost of purchasing food and drinks through the day. Breakfast is wonderful with lots of options and at 5:30 there is a good amount of snacks, wine, beer and aperitifs to get your evening going and then you need a smaller supper. Our room was very small. There are larger rooms, probably worth asking for something bigger if you get stuck with a tiny space. We used our points and got 5 nights for the equivalent of 4 nights.

The best thing about the hotel is its location. There are two metro stops extremely close to the hotel. Most Paris attractions are 3-4 stops away. There is the Opera and two of the best department stores close to the hotel, they have the best Paris views from the terraces at the top. The train station Gare Saint-Lazare is walking distance and Gare Du Nord is 5 minutes by taxi.

We had a great room, it was large and well appointed with a view of the Eiffel Tower. The lounges are not typical of the Marriott standard.

This hotel is very close to the main tourist attractions of Paris. We upgraded so we could have access to the executive lounge. We had done this at Marriott Hotels in other cities and found the food provided was excellent and the dishes on offer varied nightly. Not so at this hotel. it was partically the same dishes every night and sometimes the food was cold. In addition the food was not replenished. Our room was clean and well furnished but the air conditioning did not work and since it was 30C it was essential. We reported this in the morning and when we returned to our room in the evening it still had not been fixed. We complained again and a technician appeared to fix it then left. We thought he had gone for a replacement part but he never returned. We complained again and were told that it would take more than 10 days for the part to arrive. We asked to be moved to another room as we were staying for another 8 nights and eventually another room was found for us. We asked to speak to one of the mamagers and an apology was made and we received points on our Marriott card. Had expected better from a four star hotel.
