I would recommend you find a location closer to the major sites or stay further out and ride the subway. This is a tweener place that is over-priced for the distance away from major sites and the value provided. You can do better.
Pro: You can walk to some of the sites. Easy to find.
Con: World Class in Bad Service. Very subpar for a Marriott.

We stayed here as part of a river cruise, yes there are some things that were not quite right but on the whole it was good. Our room was very quiet, 7th floor but the bed even though it was extremely comfortable was not a queen size but a double! The room was spotless so I thank the housekeeper. Our only issue was we had to locate our bags, they were never sent to our room, even after being out for more than three hours. Breakfast on our 1st morning was also a debacle no plates - cutlery etc but the next few days it was very good. Being in Paris over a long weekend was interesting few locals but lots of tourist! Saw the gypsies but we were careful, always keep an eye on what you are doing.

We have stayed at several wonderful Paris Marriott hotels in the past and decided to give this one a go because of its location. After a long flight we arrived at the hotel in pouring down rain at 10am. The front desk clerk took our credit card information and said that she had a room for us for our 5 night stay, however it wouldn't be ready until 3pm. There was no place to go wait except for the lobby. I kept checking back every hour to see if anybody had checked out, so that we could have their room and she became increasingly angrier. She said that absolutely no rooms were ready because all of the previous guests had a late checkout, which I found hard to believe. Given that we were Platinum Rewards customers, I thought we might have a little consideration, not so! Anyway, we finally got a room around 2:30. The only room request I had was to get a quiet room. This clerk gave us the noisiest room in the hotel, on second floor, right above Hausmann Blvd. Not only was it noisy, but the air conditioning didn't work. I called down to the desk and they said that the hotel was sold out for the night, but they could change our room tomorrow. The next day we were moved to a 7th floor corner suite. It was beautiful, however the room was about 90 degrees. We opened the window to try and cool the room. Went out for the day, returned, and the room was still horrendously hot. At midnight, they found us yet another room, which was at least cool, however was a downgrade from the room we had reserved and paid for, for the week. So in total, we had to change rooms 3 times, just to get a room with air conditioning! They ended up refunding one night to us which hardly made up for the inconvenience.
The executive lounge was good for breakfast, however at night it was average at best. One evening they put out a pan of scalloped potatoes and rizotto. Families with many kids would invade the lounge, leaving little for others.
We go to Paris every year and we will never return to this property. The Renaissance Vendom or the Marriott Rive Gauche are much better options in my opinion.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with 'working' air conditioning.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights after a river cruise. The rooms were understandably not ready when we arrived in the morning. They stored our bags for us until we checked in later. We had to wait about an hour to get them because it was their "busy time".
When we got out of the shower one night, we realized we didn't have any towels. That also took a while. The room was large and quiet. The breakfast bar was adequate, and there were people working there but not very helpful.
We had dinner there one night, 180 euros for 4. Pretty pricey. Close to many attractions. Concierge was amazingly helpful. We did have problems every time we took a taxi back to the hotel. They apparently recently changed the name, and no one knew where it was. I would suggest having their address with you.
Nice, quiet hotel that we would stay at again.

I love this hotel, and I found it after so many disappointments in Paris. We took an executive room (with a lounge access), It was perfect from every aspect. great sleep, so quiet, large rooms, newly renovated, wonderful location. cons: breakfast here was too crowded, noisy, overpriced.

I brought my family here for a week in July, and we absolutely loved this property. We arrived in the morning, so our rooms were understandably not ready, but the concierge stored our luggage until we returned to check in at 3 PM. The lounge breakfast was very good, but they ran out of basic necessities early and the staff was unable to keep up the pace in restocking. The offerings were also identical from day to day, which is why I gave four stars instead of five.

The housekeeping staff was very hospitable and they kept the rooms VERY clean! I strongly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Paris on business or vacation.
