“A good base for Paris travel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 25, 2013

Super location with no frills accommodation for anyone not needing to stay in their room for the day. Made a great base for sight seeing and touring the neighborhood of Montmartre. Lots of restaurants ... Sacre Coeur and Place de Tertre were all close by and 2 metro lines within less than 5 minute walk. Moulin Rouge also very close. The only downside was room make up.. We would come back at night and no toilet paper in the bathroom means a trip up and down the stairs again. Also missing a towel one day. Just a little more attention to these details would be helpful. Room was comfortable otherwise but know that you will have a small room with a small bathroom. Ask for a room on the street side so you have a view of the neighborhood. The counter staff was very friendly and helpful.

Dear Madam, dear Sir,

We thank you for your nice comment about My Hotel In France Montmartre. You enjoyed the great location of the hotel, the comfort in our rooms and the availability and the kindness of the staff. It's a real pity that you have missed welcome gifts in your room and I really want to apologize about that.

Best regards

A super little cheapo hotel in a great location which was perfect for a rugby weekend (France-Scotland). Room with breakfast for just 51 euros had a double bed, good facilities and was serviced daily. However, no lift! I was on the 3rd floor which was not too bad but my son was up on the 5th floor and I gather there was a sixth floor too! (Said he needed oxygen!) Next door to numerous brasseries, bars and restaurants and only a 5 minute walk to Pigalle, etc. Place du Teatre just up the hill in about 20 minutes. All in all, great value for money, but not for anyone with mobility problems.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the 1st floor or if they have any superior rooms.

We spent a wonderfull time in Paris and in MHiF! We highly recommend tihs location nearby Basilica Sacre Coeur, Moulin Rouge, 3min to metro Abbesses, Le mur des j’taime and so many little cafes :) The room was tiny but cosy and clean. Staff - friendly, helpfull and speak English (which was priceless for us, becouse we don't speak French yet;). There is no elevator in the hotel - this is the only minus in hotel but all in all a little activity is good for all. Breakfast was good and we very like the idea of lunchboxes for guests.
Next time in Paris we'll surely choose the same hotel :)

I returned from Paris just one day ago. We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. First of all I higly recommend this location. Despite bad reviews talking about how spoilt by turist this place is I hhigly recommend Montmartre. I loved walks here, visiting small cafes and enjoyed the breathtaking views. Hotel is positioned very well indeed, just few steps from two metro station, Moulin Rouge, Sacre c ´oeur...

But here ends the advantagess of this hotel. If you stay here be prepared for very tiny rooms. I guess our room had about 11m2. We had no place where we could place our luggage at all. To be fair I have to mentioned that our room was clean and calm.

Hotel doesn ´ t has a lift. It is also not a big deal but... after breakfast going upstairs to the 4th floor wasn ´ t very pleasant.

Talking of breakfast it ´ s just HORRIBLE. I have never seen poorer buffet before. Everyday the same choice - croissant, small baguette and marmelade. There was nothing else, no cheese, no ham, no eggs... Coffee was undrinkable. We ended up bringing our own supplies bought in the nearby Fromagerie etc.

Also quite disturbing was the odour of the room where the breakfast was served. It is quite a charming place reminding some ancient cellers but the smell wasn ´ t nice at all. hotel says they give you the package lunch but it doesn ´ t apply if you book for example via booking.com.

We were ready to enjoy our stay in Paris so this couldn ´ t spoil our experience but I would never return to this hotel. Location is perfect, price is great as well but hotel is not such a good choice.

I would also mention that people at the reception are nice. I do not want to say only negative stuff evn if the hotel wasn ´ t my cup of tea.

From our trip I would recommend Moulin Rouge soiree, where we enjoyed the cabaret show very much and La Duree ;)

Room Tip: Ground floor

Dear Madam, dear Sir,

We thank you for your comment.
We agree with you about the size of our rooms and bathrooms which are not really spacious, even if they are comfortable and clean. Also, our typical parisian building does not have a lift for the moment. In fact, many works have to take place in this end of year and in 2014, to set up an elevator and enlarge common areas, rooms and bathrooms.
As you noticed, you can book directly with the hotel to obtain besides the offered breakfast every morning, a welcome drink and a lunch box every day.

Best regards

I have stayed at this small hotel in Abesses twice now and both times have been perfectly adequate. The rooms are not huge but are clean and the staff are helpful and friendly.
Its located on a great street full of bars and resaurants where you can spend your evening without even jumping on the metro!
Easy access to Sacre Coeur and the Moulin Rouge, Also very close to metro station Abesses for easy access to the rest of Paris.
I'd stay here every time I go to Paris as a first choice!
There is no lift so its not suitbale for those with trouble with stairs but its a great little hotel so dont let the lack of a lift put you off!

Dear Madam,

What a very nice comment! Thank you so much for your very pleasant remarks. All the team and myself are very affected by your compliments.
As you have well summarize it, the hotel is small, there is no elevator but it is clean and comfortable. Also, the location in Paris is ideal and our formula "all for you" is rather considerable with a buffet breakfast, a lunch box and the wifi offered everyday to all our direct guests.

We are looking forwards to welcoming you again at home!

Our short trip last week was our 11th visit and returning after 9 years, still love that feeling when you see all the wonderful sights again! So glad we stayed in Montmartre, esp.Rue de Abbesses. Previously we have been nearer Blv. de Clichy and this hotel is located in a much nicer area.
Our room 35 looking onto the street and was fine for a short stay, twin beds perfectly adequate. They are much better than a double which is always much smaller than our bed back home. Have to agree on the tiny shower room, ours was all laid out in a row but you got used to not being able to turn around. When we first stayed in 1979 "en suites" were a luxury few could afford so a small bathroom is no problem. Breakfast is fine, what we expected for 2* Paris and we always got a table easily.I only took the packed lunch as we were leaving but it was great to have whilst waiting for our flight home to Edinburgh. Tuna & egg on seeded bread sandwich, sliced apple & water. Sandwich was lovely, don't know what previous reviewers were moaning about, & much cheaper than anything in the airport.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone for a great location, close to 2 Metros and friendly helpful staff. We hope not wait so long 'til our next return visit!

Room Tip: Travel lightly if poss., 'cos the narrow stairs are awkward but manageable.

Dear Madam, dear Sir,

We thank you a lot for your very nice comment. As you mentionned, the hotel is very well situated in Montmartre area. It stands in the pleasant "rue des Abbesses", with a lot of shops, bars and restaurant all around. There is also 2 different metro stations nearby the establishment.
You could appreciate our concept "all for you", which offers to all our direct clients, a lunch box, a welcome drink, a buffet breakfast and the illimited wifi connexion.
Our bathrooms, you are right, are not very spacious as our building is a typical parisian one. Nethertheless, they are clean and renovations should take place soon.

We are looking forwards to welcoming you again at home!
