“Still loving Paris!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 16, 2013

Our short trip last week was our 11th visit and returning after 9 years, still love that feeling when you see all the wonderful sights again! So glad we stayed in Montmartre, esp.Rue de Abbesses. Previously we have been nearer Blv. de Clichy and this hotel is located in a much nicer area.
Our room 35 looking onto the street and was fine for a short stay, twin beds perfectly adequate. They are much better than a double which is always much smaller than our bed back home. Have to agree on the tiny shower room, ours was all laid out in a row but you got used to not being able to turn around. When we first stayed in 1979 "en suites" were a luxury few could afford so a small bathroom is no problem. Breakfast is fine, what we expected for 2* Paris and we always got a table easily.I only took the packed lunch as we were leaving but it was great to have whilst waiting for our flight home to Edinburgh. Tuna & egg on seeded bread sandwich, sliced apple & water. Sandwich was lovely, don't know what previous reviewers were moaning about, & much cheaper than anything in the airport.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone for a great location, close to 2 Metros and friendly helpful staff. We hope not wait so long 'til our next return visit!

Room Tip: Travel lightly if poss., 'cos the narrow stairs are awkward but manageable.

Dear Madam, dear Sir,

We thank you a lot for your very nice comment. As you mentionned, the hotel is very well situated in Montmartre area. It stands in the pleasant "rue des Abbesses", with a lot of shops, bars and restaurant all around. There is also 2 different metro stations nearby the establishment.
You could appreciate our concept "all for you", which offers to all our direct clients, a lunch box, a welcome drink, a buffet breakfast and the illimited wifi connexion.
Our bathrooms, you are right, are not very spacious as our building is a typical parisian one. Nethertheless, they are clean and renovations should take place soon.

We are looking forwards to welcoming you again at home!

Best regards

Friendly and helpful staff all around making this daily serviced hotel more comfortable even though that there is no lift. They gave me a 1st floor room when requested at the booking. Good Plentyful breakfast and more importantly the lunch pack they provide make it easy for your day plans as you have something to eat when you want and no need to look for change and rush for a shop. Can walk to central Paris in less than 30 mnts. if you are a keen walker. Walking distance to Abbesses, Blanche and Pigalle metros, busses and the famous church only five mnts. away. Famous night spots in next main street making the area busy and plenty of various eating places and supermakets around. I'd stay there again and again.

Room Tip: Ask for a first floor room.

The hotel is not as impressive as it advertises. We think it's more like a 2* hotel. It said that on arrival we recieve a welcome drink, it was just fruit juice, which was fine. We were on 2nd floor. Room was clean but view from the window was just a light-well. Breakfast is advertised as Express Breakfast buffet, but it was just a basket of croissants and a jug of coffee, that's not a buffet. Upside is, staff are very friendly and welcoming, the hotel wi-fi works and we were given a free packed lunch to take out with us during the day.

Room Tip: There is no elevator so ask for a room on a lower floor as even if you are fit you will be tired fro...

Dear Madam, dear Sir,

We thank you for your comment about My Hotel In France Montmartre. Our hotel is likened to one 2 stars establishment. You were in a room at the back of the hotel and the view as you noticed, is less pleasant than the one you can have facing the street.
We hope that you could enjoy our concept "all for you" which offers everyday to all of our guest, a buffet breakfast, a lunch box and the wifi connexion.
Our team also thank you for your nice comments about them.

We have just returned from a weekend in Paris. We stayed 2 nights in the My Hotel Montmartre. Firstly, Gilles who is the receptionist and speaks good English is possibly the most helpful man in France. The rooms are small but clean and lovely and warm. But mind you head on the TV!! The location is right in the middle all the bars and restaurants in Montmartre and is just up the hill from the Moulin Rouge. The breakfast is buffet style, croissants, pain aux chocolates and bread rolls with jam and tea, coffee and hot chocolate. You are also given a packed lunch of sandwiches, fruit and a bottle of water every day. We would very much recommend this hotel and hope to be back ourselves one day. Merci Gilles.

Room Tip: There is no lift. We were on the 4th floor out of 6.

Just a quick review, we are a young couple 21-25 went for 4 nights. Hotel itself is very clean, rooms are tiny (room 18) but clean, bit noisy at night cause the stairs are right next door, breakfast is very poor, just crossants and bread rolls. Daily packet lunch is brilliant you get a sandwich bag of sliced apple and water. Hotel is in a really good area, 2 min walk down the hill to moulin rouge, there's a Starbucks and an American grill and subway Blanche which is easy access to all lines. I would advise to travel by subway. Area has a very rural feeling, some people have said that its dodgy at night with the fact he red light district is right near but noone bothers you and really is fine. There's a little bistro just outside hotel to the left, which has the most amaze mussels I would definitely recommend going there on night.

The only critic iv got is in regards to the romantic room package deal. I purchased this because it was our anniversary and they ask you what day you want it I specifically asked for the Wednesday. Got back to the hotel and the room had not even been changed. I askd the man at desk and he was quite rude and apparently they had 'forgot' so obviously i was furious. Totally Ruined our night. Anyway I arranged for it the next day but when we got back all it was 5 plastic candles, fake rose petals and oil. In my opinion total waste of money and time. (£30) I would strongly advise not to get it.

In a nut shell, good area, small clean hotel, not the best. But cheap for 4 nights in Paris.

Room Tip: Request and low floor room cause there's no lift!

Dear Madam, dear Sir,

We thank you for your comment. We need all of them to improve our services.
We are pleased to learn that you enjoyed the cleanliness of our hotel and our concept "all for you" with offered buffet breakfast, offered lunch box and illimited wifi access.
It is a real pity that you could not change your room the first day. May be the hotel was full and we could not do it, may be as you mentionned, the reception was not professionnal enough and forgot it! I really want to apologize about it. Then, I thank you for your opinion about the romantic pack. We appeal to an outside company to manage it. I will transfer them you remark and wait for their proposals of improvements .

Best regards

We stayed four days at My Hotel in France Montmartre and had a great stay in Paris. The hotel is located in the middle of our favourite neighbourhood in Paris and the metro was just a few blocks from the hotel so it was easy to get here from the airport. The price was very affordable compared to other hotels in Paris and our room was clean. The breakfast was basic but a good way to start a day - there are also plenty of lovely restaurants and cafes in the neighbourhood too. The room was small but there was definitely enough space for two people. The only minus was the bed. We had booked a room with a double bed but in our room two beds were just placed next to each other - which isn't ideal for couples. Our room was in the 5th floor and that was not a problem at all. I would totally recommend this hotel to friends travelling together :)

I stayed in this hotel first time three years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it.The rooms were small but clean. That is why I decided to stay here again this year. Unfortunately, it was not the same. The were originally booked for a 6th floor room. The reception was very nice and changed it for a 3rd floor room. However, the signs of tear and wear are visible. The bedspread was stained, although the sheets were clean - so not a major problem, but then again if you pay £75 a night you expect everything to be clean. The TV in the room was not working either. There is a kettle in the room, but no complimentary tea/coffee or cups? Hmm, I guess it is meant for people with their own provisions.
On the bright side, breakfast was nice and it is served in a nice basement area.
The area of Monmarte and the central location of the hotel made up for it and so for a night I'd say it wasn't too bad.

Dear Madam, dear Sir,

We thank you for your comment. It is a real pity that your last stay was so disappointed.
Through your descrption of the second room you had, I can imagine this one has not been checked before your arrival. We apologize for these inconvenients.
