“Great little apartment”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 24, 2013 via mobile

Stayed here 2 nights 3 people together in one room. Small but quite manageable since no one snored! Nice sunny apartment with separate toilet and kitchen and bathroom with view over garden and rooftops. Helpful staff and can't get a better location. Up one short steepish side street part way up to Sacre Coeur.

Went there on a short business trip for 4 days. The hotel is located at the foot of a very famous church. Hence location wise it is excellent. The streets are bustling with tourists all the time.
The hotel provides services apartments. I lived in a studio apartment, which was pretty good.
All ameneties provided including dishwasher, microwave, tea/coffee maker, juicer, toaster and good quality cutlery.
The staff is pretty good and friendly. However be prepared to speak extremely slow english as most of them dont speak fluent english...(its the same case all over france :)..)
But overall decent stay considering the budget. My company paid £102 per night.

Great location, 2 bed apartment well-equipped, helpful staff, good value. Travelled with wife and 2 young children to Paris over the May bank holiday, no complaints from any of them! Lots of restaurants and cafes close by, Anvers and Abesses metros close by, 2 minute walk to the local Carrefour supermarket if needed.

This aparthotel provides excellent value for money in a great location. It combines the reception service of a hotel with the flexibility of apartment living. The staff were friendly and helpful and the apartment had a good range of facilities including a kitchenette, safe, iron and ironing board and free wifi. The best thing about the hotel is the location - it is right in the heart of atmospheric Monmatre with shops, restaurants and theatres right on its doorstep but is in a quiet spot away from traffic. It is only a 5 minute walk to the nearest metro stop and 10 minutes by taxi to the Gare Du Nord station. Our only criticisms were that the beds were rather hard and there is a rather strange room service system - towels are changed daily if you stay for three nights or less but only once during your stay if you stay for four nights or more. Surely it should be the other way around? But this is being picky, we would thoroughly recommend this hotel and would definitely go back.

My mum and I recently visited Paris to take advantage of some of the cheaper fashion fabrics available (3m for 10euro!) and so staying in Montmartre was best for us, because it's not too hard to get to from the Gare du Nord and it's close to some touristy bits, eg Sacre Coeur, Amelie locations.

She's a vegetarian and I'm a vegan and so we needed to find somewhere fairly cheap and near a mini-mart. Adagio was great because there's a shop that sells fruit and veg, as well as alcohol, juices and some bread on the corner, and a Huit a Huit. Around the corner on the main road there's lots of kebab shops that also serve falafel, and the two places we visited both had really friendly staff.

This hotel was so easy to find! You've got the choice of the Metro or the bus-links across Paris (it's easiest to get the bus if you're coming by train to Paris from Gare du Nord, as it stops more or less outside!). The area may look intimidating and it's definitely not the poshest area of Paris, but it feels more authentic. If you want to go for your stereotypical, idyllic Paris then this isn't for you. If however you enjoy the experience of travelling and love to walk among the less explored places, then this is great! We had no noise problems and the staff at the hotel were absolutely fabulous, and put up with our awful French (they did speak English, but we like to try!).

The apartment/hotel was perfect for the two of us - two single beds, bathroom and separate toilet, TV, little table and chairs to have your coffee, small kitchen which was pretty well equipped (even with soap, sponge etc for washing up, very useful). Recycling was just down the corridor from us, and we overlooked the small road that was the entrance to the hotel. For us, a short 4 day break in March to go fabric shopping and see a few sights, it was absolutely perfect. We didn't want the formality of a hotel or the casual feel of a hostel, so this was ace. We could come and go when we pleased with a keypad number, and the cooking facilities for our particular requirements were fab.

There is a lift in the hotel for those with mobility problems (or just really heavy bags), but it was out of order when we went so check this before booking. We had no problems with hot water, which you sometimes get in older buildings, particularly hotels, so you can count on being able to take that refreshing shower after your trip on the Eurostar.

This hotel would be great for couples, small family, solo, small groups of friends!

4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 11, 2013

I had been to Paris for 2 weeks for a business visit and stayed with my wife in this hotel for the same number of weeks. The studio apartment at first glance looked quite compact to us. The
double bed covered half the area of the room, a round table with two chairs. It had a television which was useless since it showed only french channels on it.

We had an attached kitchen which was well equipped: oven, juicer, hot plate, essential crockery, refrigerator and a dishwasher. We were amused to find all these things tactfully arranged in such a small place. The bathroom had all the necessary amenities.

Wifi is available in the rooms for free. There is also a system in the lobby area where you can surf the internet.

Normally, room cleaning happens once a week unless you need it more frequently. In that case it is chargeable.

The staff is quite approachable and were quite helpful. There was one instance when our luggage bag misbehaved and got locked and we were not able to open it! We called up reception and the same day they sent a person who opened our bag without breaking the latch.

Before the main entrance of the hotel there are few steps to cover. It might be difficult for some to carry across big luggage bags over it.

Location wise its at the foot of Sacre Coeur Church, 2-3 mins walk to nearest metro 2 station Anvers. Carrefour Market is also at a walkable distance. Overall a nice area to stay in Paris.

Most of the times the hotel is fully booked, so you need to plan early to get a room here. Timings for Check in is 1400 hrs and Checkout is 1100 hrs.
