The hotel is excellent! I am a greek student in the Athens University and travelled in a group with a travel agency in Paris. I stayed from 6/8/2005 to 12/8/2005 in the fourth floor in an one-bed room which was really large for just one person. The view from the fourth floor is a 19th century building opposite the hotel, the sky and of course the rue Caulaincourt.
The reception was polite and helpful, my room (twin one-bed) and bathroom was very clean every day, the towels changed every day. The decoration is simple and relaxing. The orange and brown colour dominate in the floor as well as in the room I stayed. Every floor pays tribute to a famous french painter. The fourth floor is dedicated to Gaugin, so in my room there was a copy from a picture of his.
The security is excellent. Every door opens only with a magnetic card. When you are inside the room, you can lock it from inside, so no one can enter. When you are outside, you must have the card.
The hotel is situated in Montmartre and is within walking distance from the nearest metro and bus station. The buses 68, 80 and 95 are the best for sightseeing. I had a wonderful time in Paris during this week, I enjoyed walking, shopping and sightseeing and I totally recommend the said hotel.
