“Great location and very nice hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 6, 2014 via mobile

We stayed in priviledged standard room in grey colours which was great: clean, spacious for paris, window in the bathroom made it sunny and pleasant. Location is very good, 3 minutes away from champs elysees, plenty of cafes, restaurants, pharmacies, shops nearby. It is right next to the Open tour bus stop which makes it easy to move for tourists. I would definitely recommend this hotel especially if booked in advance for good value.

A wonderful hotel just a stones throw from the Champs-Élysées. A traditional old building with comfortable modern rooms. Breakfast in true french fashion and room service is supplied by restaurants from nearby which means a wider selection and better quality.

We can't thank the staff of this place enough. We arrived in Paris looking forward to our "live like a Parisienne " for seven days in a flat by Interhome. The flat was a disaster that we couldn't stay in due to the smell, peeling paint and other things. Getting no help from Interhome we set out to find an alternative at 6 pm on a Friday. We came across the Rochester and found an unbelievable staff that could not be more friendly and helpful. Not only were we given a reduced rate for the first night, we were also upgraded. They could not provide accommodation for the second night due to being booked out but rang other Hotels in the area to find temporary accommodation for us, Needless to say we booked in for the remainder of our stay. We arrived back to be greeted by a smiling concierge who remembered us, a receptionist who apologised that we could not be upgraded this time due to occupancy, but had provided us with a room they hoped we would be happy with. We were!! If you want to stay in a quality Hotel, with quality staff, in a great location surrounded by Bars, Cafés, Restaurants and 10 mins walk from the Champs -Élysées don't look pst this place. We will be back and I won't look anywhere else.u

Dear guest,

I was so pleased to read your posting on TripAdvisor regarding your recent stay with us, and that we were a little instrumental in realizing the dream of a perfect vacation.

Delighted that you received the recognition you deserved from moment of arrival until your departure. That all the Front Desk staff referred to you by name is the way it should be, but as you so well pointed out, often that personal touch is lacking. That you found the team not only polite, but helpful, and efficient with still being so friendly means a lot to us.

The Concierge staff sincerely appreciated your comments on how they endeavored to anticipate your stay.

Thank you for taking the time to share your guest experience. All the Hotel staff join me in the hope that we will see you again in the not too distant future at the Hotel Rochester Champs Elysées!

Best regards,

Sébastien Thomas

After almost being killed in the taxi journey to the hotel- was the scariest car journey I´ve ever been in- we arrived at this little hotel near the Champs-Elysees.

The staff were very polite and helpful, but the rooms in this hotel were extremely small- which I guess is normal for a Parisian hotel. We didn´t have breakfast here as it was too expensive, but there are cafés in the surrounding area which will rip you off to a slightly lesser degree.

That was the common theme on our trip to Paris- the feeling you are being mugged by every establishment going. Talking of being mugged, be very careful near any of the main tourist attractions, because they are out in force to steal from you.

My own tip for the hotel- get a room that is not facing the main street, because it is insanely loud at night, as the over-privileged like to rev their Ferraris and Porsches from dusk till dawn.

Beautiful hotel with generous rooms (particularly by Parisian standards), stylish but classic decor, and spacious bathrooms. It is in a perfect location- quiet at night, but just off the Champs Elysees and right above a metro station. Friendly and very helpful staff, especially Dominique.

Very good service & helpful staff, practical location, 24/7 Wireless Internet.
Halls in the floors too tight but not a major set back.
Rooms well maintained and clean. Would surely re-visit.
Transportation well managed and punctual.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the internal garden are quieter and sunnier.
