“Tiny, I mean teeny tiny, rooms”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 16, 2014

Traveled with a tour group of over 200 people. Had a double with my husband. I am under 5' tall and felt cramped and squeezed into a tiny space. No walking room, never mind a place to open you luggage. Hanging space is behind a tv on a tall cabinet. Major inconvenience if both of us wanted to open our luggage simultaneously, or walk by each other around the bed. Bathroom adequate. Breakfast buffet was plentiful and varied. Dinner was uninspired and servers were not the most friendly or attentive in the dining room. Not impressed with this hotel and would not recommend it or return. The biggest minus was a feeling of the bathrooms being older and not being sanitized or clean. Mold was growing on the celing above the tub. Floor wasn't super clean. Feels like it needs more attention and TLC.

Room Tip: Get the biggest you can get in your price category.

Hotels in capitals are as usual overpriced so is Ibis Berthier.
Nevertheless the hotel is good and rather new.

The reception & lobby area is really large and hosting various restaurants.
The rooms are rather small but ok; normal Ibis standaard.

There is a large parking underneath the hotel (19,- € per night no reservations needed)

Going walking distance there is variaty in café and restaurants in the area nearby.

Very big hotel with plenty of facilities within it (three restaurants of their own?) but rooms were dated, felt small and cramped and we had been put in one that was clearly a smoking room, without an opening window - not very comfortable for a couple of non-smokers!

Bar was a nice area to sit and chat, with a good game of table football.

Breakfast was well done and nice. Ideal for coach parties as well with plenty of room underneath the hotel for the coaches to collect.

The hotel is not located in a great neighbourhood and that is a big minus. Close to the metro station porte declichy, but the access is weird. Taxis drop off you near the roadside and it is a steep uphill climb to reach the hotel. First you take a long and steep ramp and then take the elevator to level 2 and climb another slope. Imagine doing this in hot weather, while carrying all your luggage. Lots of construction going on near the hotel. It's noisy. Lobby & main floor are good. Guest room size is ok but the bathrooms are really bad. They need an upgrade. Breakfast buffet is minimal and okay. Same menu everyday. Dinner at the restaurant was good and costs 10-15 euros/person which is reasonable. Not enough storage space in the room and no coffee maker /iron box.No air conditioning in the room and we had to let the windows open. Most staff are not friendly . One guy at the breakfast buffet was rude. He is from south asia but do not want to mention the name. Evening staff at the tables -restaurant were good. Certainly don't recommend this place.

Absolutely beautiful hotel with a lot of amenities. Very close to the metro. Breakfast, which was included with our room, was pretty good here. The room was very nice and the wifi worked well. The only downside was the size of the room. There was not enough room to walk around the bed without pressing up against the wall and there wasn't enough room on the floor to lay a suitecase down to get things out of it. The bathroom was a nice size though and was also very nice. I would definitely recommend.

We stayed for 2 nights recently and it was a very delightful stay. Approximately 500 meters from the Porte de Clichy metro station it was very easy to find. The hotel itself is a very bog standard 3-star business class hotel. What you'd expect from the Ibis brand really - clean lines, comfortable and not flashy. Check in was a smooth process. We were quite early approx. 10.45am and despite the numerous number of people in the lobby area, I was pleasantly surprised when informed that our rooms were ready. I entered my room on the 6th floor and realised that it was a double bed so went back to the lobby to change it to a twin room. No issue and a twin room was immediately assigned to me. Very professional and friendly service by the front office team.

The bed was very comfortable and my room has a view of half of the Eiffel tower too! A bonus! Would really recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a budget friendly business class hotel in Paris.

There is also a pool but I didn't check it out myself but looks good from the website photo.

Room Tip: Room 333 has a partial view of Eiffel tower (lower bit blocked by buildings) but you can still watch...
