“Decent place to stay in Paris.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 days ago NEW

Few tv channels, noisy cleaning women and nobody speaking good enough English but it is a decent hotel. It's near the Brochant underground station and it is near of many places to shop and eat. Good wifi service.

We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights, we just wanted to have an hotel to have night sleep as all the day long we had alot of plans to do, and that was the case, the hotel for just night sleep is ok but cannot be assumed as good hotel overall, I think we could find a better hotel for the same cost and could be better, our room was at the second floor, the stairs was too narrow to the point we were not able easly to hold our bags while going up at the arrival or down while departure, our room had no view at all, it was too small but this was not a big deal for us, but what I am sure about is that we won't go for this hotel again although having a metro station less than 3 mins walk

Room Tip: try to be specific and request a room at the building having the elevator, the other building even t...

Where Mirific is concerned, read horrific! Unlike other review here the staff were very helpful, however that is only good thing about this hotel! Wifi was very slow indeed, to say the room I was in was tired was an understatement, it was falling apart, the bathroom was mouldy, the fan couldn't cope the heating was non existent as the pipes to the one radiator had obviously burned the wall I suspect this was permanently turned off! Yes they did leave a small electric fan heater in room but as there was only one plug socket this was no good as most people have to atleast charge their phone!

The shower sprayed water everywhere but where you wanted, the shower curtain did nothing to prevent water covering the whole bathroom, this was not helped by the fact that they plug was exceedingly slow to drain!

Don't waste you money staying at this horrific hotel, buy a room in hotel nearer Eiffel Tower which is just as cheap!

Room Tip: Don't bother!

We saw this very good priced hotel on various booking sites and although it had some poor review ratings, we thought as it's a 3 star hotel and had some very good pictures of the rooms, we would try it. Our experience was as follows:-
- We booked two rooms (5 people) for 5 nights during August 2014. The rooms were very poorly decorated and very very tired. It had hand-made shelves with the rough edges showing. Our double room in fact had two single beds which kept moving apart. Although the shower worked fine, it had no wall holder and so holding it in one hand whilst washing with other was a new experience.
- There was no air conditioning in either of our rooms, and we did find the nights very warm and woke up in the morning feeling very uncomfortable – this will be a real problem at the height of the summer season.
- Our rooms were on the third floor at the rear of the hotel. There were no lifts and when we asked for assistance to help get the luggage up, the receptionist said there is no such service here- very disappointed with this. There was a very narrow spiral stairs leading to all floors.
- The breakfast room and food was fine. Standard continental food. No issues here.
- Our towels were changed daily but had the same bed sheets & pillow covers for 4 nights.
- The location was good, adjacent to a metro station (Brochant) and we used this to get round Paris using our 5 day "Paris Visite" tickets. Well worth having these tickets.
- The sound proofing between rooms was non-existent. We had some very noisy neighbours and could hear them even walking up and down the stairs.

Overall, I think it’s a 1 star hotel, its good value for money, if you’re prepared to live with a basic level of service. Not having air conditioning is a real problem, especially if you go in the summer. This is not recommended for people with disabilities as there is no lift in the part of the hotel we stayed in.

Room Tip: Make sure your rooms are at the front of hotel, as the rear section (connected with a covered walk w...

Traveling in a party of 4 we had 2 double rooms. As we arrived in our rooms one lot of air conditioning worked and the other did not and so I went down to reception to see if we could have it looked at or move rooms. The receptionist said she knew it didn't work and there was nothing she could do at all. So therefore in 27 degree heat the two if us in that room did not have any sleep at all. Then in the evening we arrived back to change to go out for dinner and the maid had not been to clean our rooms she then arrived at 7 o'clock to clean and I gave her my towels to wash so I could have a shower she did not return until 7:45. On the last day of out stay the sink in the cooler room would not drain and leaked all over the floor. Also your room key will not let you in if your on your last day. As for the hotel website telling you you are in a central location your not it is €20 for a taxi to any of the landmarks and even the nearest open top bus tour. If the hotel know there is a problem with air conditioning they should tell you and also on the last night there was a school trip who were up till all hours talking and running around and then banged and slammed at 6 am but yet again there was nothing they could do.
