This hotel is just what you need in Paris. Friendly staff (isn't it basic courtesy to say Bonjour?) and decent sized room. Yes the fittings were a bit tired but everything worked and you're hardly paying the earth to stay here. Bed a bit lumpy but fine, decor hilariously out of date but so what? What you're really paying for is the location. Slap bang in middle of town handy for Montmartre and the touristy centre and with a Metro station just round the corner. Yet becuase the hotel is off the main road it's pleasantly quiet. Great place to stay, I'd go back for sure.

Great Location situated 5 min away from the moulin rouge and right next to a metro, supermarket and bakery. Room was quite small but clean and cosy the bed was so comfy it was hard to get up in the morning! Staff were very pleasant and spoke perfect english. Breakfast was probablly not worth 7 euros, it was nice all the same. Overall had a great time in paris, and couldnt of asked anymore from the hotel.

I have just returned from a one night stay at this hotel and all I can say is that I am so glad it was only 1 night! This is the worst hotel I have ever experienced.

The rooms were dark and cramped, bedding appeared dirty, bathroom tiles broken and shower not attached to the wall. The toilet was located in what could only be described as a cupboard and it took 10 minutes to get any hot water in the morning. The room I stayed in was nothing like the pictures shown on the website and there is no way it was of 3 star standard.

My friends and I went here as a wee holiday before heading back to Uni, and all I can say is we loved it! We had a very warm welcome (say bonjour and it gets you far) and on seeing the rooms, it was as expected- basic, a bit small, but with a lot of character (fireplaces!). Showering was a hassel due to a broken bracket, but it was easily overcame. As for breakfast, distinctly fresh and French.
I would advise asking the staff on where to eat; the night staff told us of restaurants 'Aubergine' and 'Cafe Joolz', both round the corner from the hotel and fantastic, especially the latter! As for the manager, he helped us so much during our stay we bought him a bottle of wine to say thanks!
Essentially, it is a good hotel if you are on a budget (us students!) which is located 2 minutes from a Metro opening up the whole of Paris to you. Have fun!

I've only given this review a 1*star as there is no option for 0*stars!

I was greeted by a night porter, to have a key thrown at me and left to find the room on my own. The room, if you can call it that, was small, with a mattress on the floor for a bed. The toilet was one side of the room and the bathroom was the other. I couldn't close the toilet door as my feet were in the way, it was that small! The room was dark due to the carpeted walls and the hotel in itself very scary!

After a terrible nights sleep, and the manager nowhere to be seen, I booked myself into another hotel down the road.

This supposed 3*Star hotel is a dump! I've seen better hostels.

v. surprised by some of the reviews as we found the hotel manager to be charming and very helpful and he was v. supportive of our efforts to speak basic french.

The hotel rooms were of a good size, decor maybe slightly dated but clean with comfortble beds.

Founds some fantastic restaurants towards Monmatre - in all a super weekend

Think of Basil and all will be fine. Manager can be very helpful if you don't provoke him. Gave us great information about sites to visit and when pressed places to eat. Hotel was clean although fittings somewhat tired. Hotel was well placed for visiting a spectacular city!
