4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 1, 2012

Nice rooms with great views of the Arc de Triomphe. Stay was pleasant. Problems with wifi in the room. Rather modest breakfast. Somewhat exaggerated price. Pleasant and friendly welcome and very fast check out. I would like to also check inn was so fast.

The location of the hotel is only 1 minute walk from the Arc de Triomphe. The reception area is by no means spacious but just enough. We were greeted by some very pleasant staff who kindly made a phone call to reserve a dinner table for us as my French skill is limited.
The room was very clean and contemporarily designed with a modern shower room. Equipped with Wi-fi access, Nespresso machine, TV and air-conditioning. Overall, this hotel is ideal for tourists to Paris who need a minimal clean hotel close to the Arc de Triomphe, but only if you are willing to pay for the location.

We stayed here for four nights for our Paris Honeymoon.

Location: Absolutely fantastic, close to the Arc De Triomphe and the Charles De Gaulle Metro station which can get you anywhere. Can't fault this place for location.

Facilities: We didn't use any hotel facilities such as the bar or restaurant.

Service: Levels of service were variable from the staff. We had let the hotel know that it was our honeymoon but this wasn't acknowledged by the staff when we checked in, although we were 'upgraded' to the next room level up. We had to ask for the tea and coffee to be replenished and the biscuits were clearly a one off treat.

Room: The room itself was lovely, really nicely decorated. However, there were a number of issues. Firstly our safe didn't work. This wasn't the biggest deal, but it was annoying and they couldn't fix it. Then our towel rail didn't work, and it seemed to take ages for the heat to come on in our room. We also had a dirty towel in our room when we checked in.

The biggest issue of our stay was the fact that there was building work going on next door. Our room was next to the fire escape, at the far end from the lift. We were rudely awakened on the second night of our stay at 7.30am by a pneumatic drill which was actually causing our bed to vibrate. The hotel assured us they didn't know about the work which was being carried out next door, and that it wouldn't happen again. However, it did, but at 8am the next morning. To make matters worse, the builders set the fire alarm off and this is where my biggest complaint comes.

Only us and another British couple headed for the fire exit. On our way out we came across the builders, and three members of hotel staff, who walked straight past us and gave us no instructions at all. We weren't sure what to do, so re-entered the front doors of the hotel where the girl on front desk was very dismissive and said oh there's no problem. The hotel were completely disorganised, and I worry what they would be like if there was an actual fire.

We were annoyed about the noise, and spoke with the manager who was extremely defensive. She said she would look into moving us, but when we returned that evening, nothing had been done. The man on front desk that evening was extremely nice and did acknowledge it was our honeymoon, as when we returned from dinner, we found a bottle of champagne in our room.

All in all, a nice hotel, but they need to work on their service skills!

Quite enjoyed our stay at this fabulously located hotel (we could see the Arc de Triomphe from the balcony and yet the soundproofing was remarkable). Two outstanding features: the quirky design, including ceiling mirrors, paint-splash model rugs (those in the hallways look as if the 101 dalmatians started shedding fur), copper foil and velvet walls, rhino heads in the restaurant and great amenities: comfy beds, thoughtful lighting, docking station, Nespresso machine, rainshower. The combination of bold design and up to date comforts was surprising in light of the fact that the hotel is located in a classic Hausmann building. The only downside is that there is practically no lobby to speak of, only a very small reception area.

Stayed there for 2 nights with my wife end of september for our honeymoon. Price-quality ratio is insufficient. After putting the used and dirty towels on the floor they have been put back on the rail. Toilet wasn't cleaned properly and tooth mug had traces of toothpaste. Mini bar wasn't filled up. And on top of that used slippers were lying under the bed. Overall review: huge disappointment!!

Loved our stay at this great hotel. The rooms are every bit as nice as the pictures including a nespresso machine, grohe shower, large bed (ours was a king), and very recently updated dacor. Also it ts in a great location right next to the Arc, at the end of the Champs, and a block from a train station! The staff are very friendly and helpful. Definitely a great find for a hotel!

I travel very frequently for work both domestically and internationally and am very picky about hotels and would say I am quite critical of rooms and staff.
My wife and I arrived on a Wednesday at about 11am and unfortunately due to the hotel being fully booked our room was not availabale to check into. The desk staff were exceptionally helpful and took our bags and pointed us in the direction of one of the many local cafes to grab some food and a drink. They notified us as soon as the room was ready and they gave us an upgrade to an absolutely beautiful room that has a wrap around verandah and looks directly at the Arc De Triomphe. The location is less than 200m from the Arc De Triomphe and in terms of locations the hotel is very central and allows easy walking distance to great shops and tourist sites including Lido (Better than the Moulin Rouge in my opinion).
The rooms are recently refurbished and are quite large for Paris standards, the staff are very helpful and will guide you to any location you want or even organise a private car for transfers.
I could not recommend this hotel enough to other guests, whilst the entry to the hotel is modest, the location and rooms are really something else.
It is a short walk to the bus tours which allow you to get anywhere in the city you want, which is a great way to get around and see all of the city with ease.
The local restaurants and cafes are brilliant and for the price I do not think there is much better.
I would come back here in a heart beat.
This hotel has made my trip to Paris memorable and certainly more than expected.
