There are many reviews on TA about this Hotel and obviously earlier this year it was transformed from a Mercure to an MGallery.
The first thing I have to say is that if you choose to stay here then you have to accept that catering facilities are limited - so you will most likely be prepared to eat out more than in. That's not a problem as there are simply heaps of eating options available within 5 minutes walking from the front door.
As for the rest of the Hotel - well as a business owner, I appreciate that the most important thing about my business are my staff and in that respect this Hotel is truly blessed. The team here can not do enough to help you enjoy your stay and to explore and understand Paris. Their friendliness is genuine and willingness to make good suggestions on local restaurants and attractions first class.
Our room was one of those that featured a small lounge area - we had read lots of the reviews below and expected to be shoe horned into a small room - but this could not have been further from the truth. The room was beautifully refurbished, fully justifying the MGallery tag and was serviced extremely well on a daily basis by friendly and helpful housekeeping staff.
As for the location - it is absolutely the best. We were able to walk to every major Central Paris attraction and that is absolutely the best way to do it! Getting lost and exploring side streets was great fun.
Would we stay here again - absolutely. Would we recommend this Hotel to other travellers - absolutely.
Its not Hotel Le Bristol or The Ritz, but its location is just as good - and of course it costs an awful lot less!
Give it a try and be delighted by the quality of the team.
