My wife and I stayed here a couple nights this past July (I accompanied her on a business trip) and were very pleased with the experience. The location was excellent for our purposes. You could easily walk to the Eifel tower, Champs Elysee, etc. but at the same time, you never felt like you were surrounded by tourists.
I do think this hotel caters less to those people anyway, given the types of people seen in the lobby and common areas (more business/professional in appearance). So perhaps this isn't the best hotel if you were planning on bringing kids.
The rooms were nice but not amazing. There were some suprisingly high end, albeit outdated electronics spec'd in our room (how many times do you have Bang & Olufsen tv's and sound systems in your hotel room?). Would have been useful had there been an ironing board in the room, another one of those standard American hotel amenities in a business oriented hotel where most European hotels fail. The vibe was quite modern and spacious otherwise, and honestly probably one of the largest rooms you'd get for where the hotel is located.
For us, one of the downers was the lack of included breakfast, something we've been growing quite spoiled with on our pleasure trips. The flip-side to this is that it forces you to venture out early for a croissant and espresso at one of the local cafes, so not all bad...
