“Very Very Nice”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 19, 2015

A great location for Paris with all the touisty things to do! I would stay here again and again! The rooms are quite large and it was very nicely done. Staff very polite. Concierge arranged a private car for siteseeing, they were very helpful! And at the end of a busy day to enjoy a night cap at the jazzy bar was great! We did eat the first night at the La Brasseie and it was pricey. But it's what you get for a lovely area and hotel. Plenty of Brasserie's around the hotel otherwise. Overall a very lovely place to rest your head at the end of a busy siteseeing day!

This hotel has a fabulous bar on the first floor. The black and white checkered floors along with the decor make someone feel like they stepped back in time. Kind and friendly staff. This hotel is aimed at tourists and the only downside was the brasserie. Very underwhelming and overpriced. I would definitely stay here again.

Probably the best hotel breakfast you will see and taste couple with a lovely atmosphere and an elegance hard to match.
The higher up you stay the more interesting the roof top view become, a truly Parisian experience, it feels like you live there

Room Tip: High up near corner

Our room was amazingly large for Paris - both the bathroom and the bedroom. All the amenities are available, and the breakfast buffet was outstanding. The atmosphere has a sophisticated touch, and the concierge was most helpful. It is now undergoing renovations to make it even better.

I had the pleasure in 2013 to spend a week in this magnificent hotel, besides the location, the building, the architecture, the rooms, the service, the cigar room, the bar & restaurant, this hotel is part of the history of France and of course Paris. Was very sad, that in my visit in Paris 2 weeks ago, it was undergoing renovation and had to sleep somewhere else.

Room Tip: It's all good! They even have a valet service.

I read with some regret the reports of others indicating that this fine hotel is closed for a lengthy renovation. So although it's probably irrelevant in light of the circumstances, I'll say that my stay there last fall was wonderful in all regards. Knowing it was an anniversary trip, the staff made sure that my wife and I received a room with a view of the Eiffel Tower. We can only hope that the new owners will respect this establishment's fine reputation and do right by its hard-working staff. Whatever happens, one thing is for sure: The hotel's location just can't be beat.

While an excellent hotel, it apparently closed for renovation for three years in April 2014. If you try to make a reservation, it comes back, "no rooms available." Let's look forward to its reopening. I have stayed several times and always enjoyed the hotel and the location. Find another hotel in the area, Its outstanding in its proximity to everything that matters in Paris.

I'm always amazed how businesses in France can close for years for renovation. In the US, if it took more than a year, you would be out of business. In France it's more leisurely, the zoo took seven years to reopen after renovation.

Room Tip: Rooms on street are good but you can hear the subway underneath every 15 minutes.
