“Very Nice”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 13, 2014

We stayed here late May 2014 and thought it was a great location for everything, you could actually walk to the Louvre, Norte Dame and other attractions and I have a bad ankle. Plenty of places to eat walking in any direction from the hotel. I would stay again in a minute. You won't be sorry with this place.

Arrived from Singapore on a typically early flight. The staff at Citadines allowed an early entry to our room. Rooms are spacious, sparsely decorated and functional. Kitchen area is tiny and dishwasher inoperative. Good location, which is needed, because there is heavy construction next door for a couple of years, although construction noise is only 9:00 to 5:00, Monday to Friday. Transport operators find it hard to find the hotel if they don't know Paris well and, because the hotel is in a pedestrian precinct, you will have to walk with your luggage the final distance from your drop-off. Free coffee and fruit all day is a bonus. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Great cafés and restaurants nearby. The Seine is only a short walk, as is Notre Dame, Saint Chapelle.

Room Tip: Request a room as far away from the construction area as possible.

Pros: good location, 5 min walk to Rue Rivoli shopping, 2 subway stations 5 min walk away; a bakery, an awesome fruit and vegetable stand and a gourmet food store 5 min away; also a supermarket close; fridge and stove in room - we saved a bundle on eating in; great staff; clean rooms, comfy beds; good size rooms; coffee and tea maker in lobby, overall great experience!

Cons: Forum La Halls next door is under construction on 2 sides surrounding the hotel, constant noise and dirt all day;

Area is loud and NOT upscale. Smell of urine and fecal matter and garbage and graffiti on the walls of buildings and walls surrounding construction site. Taxis can not come right to the door of the hotel, you have to walk to them - its a short walk, but if you are dragging light colored fabric suitcases as we did through dirt and all mentioned above....

Area is loud - full of cafes right under hotel windows and people talk loudly till midnight at least; then we were waken up by drunk pedestrians at 4AM, and 5:30AM.

Room Tip: Higher floors are quieter

Thank you for your feedback which will be shared with the team at Citadines Prestige Les Halles.

Your feedback motivates us to do better to ensure that our residents have a warm and pleasant experience.

We are located in the center of Paris where a big construction is in works but all the team of the property are doing all their best to minimize the impact to our guest, and as it is popular and full of life during day and night don't hesitate to ask a room facing the courtyard to be in the quiet side of the residence.

We look forward to welcoming you again.

Kind regards,

Adrien Sardin

My family and I arrived tired and grumpy from our journey. We were early for checking in but reception accommodated us immediately and without fuss. In fact reception were excellent throughout, nothing was a problem - very un-paris like!

The apartment was small (however this is Paris so what do you expect?) but functional - clean, tidy, well laid out. There's a supermarket near by for provisions and of course wine and numerous restaurants. With cooking facilities available I'd recommend the supermarket though - think of going out for dinner in Leicester Square - very hit and miss and expensive unless you know where to go. Chatelet Les Halles metro nearby - 30 minutes to Disney.

We walked along the Seine then across Pont Neuf back through to the Louvre - very pleasant.

Overall a good base for us that met all our needs.

Great location not just for sight seeing but also connectivity from the airport. The rooms are spacious and are provided with a very well furnished kitchenette. Staff is helpful and the place is lively till very late in the night. We loved their umbrellas!

Room Tip: Rooms facing the Square

A wonderful place to say , so centrally located. One stop from the Gare Du Nord Eurostar station on the RER. A special thanks to all the staff, especially to Lucette who was so very helpful with information about supermarkets:) Loved the personal touch of a box of goodies for our wedding anniversary. Much appreciated. Had a room facing the courtyard and it was so quiet in spite of the construction work around. Would recommend to all.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 3, 2014

I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights in May and couldn't grumble as the deal I received having booked my stay 9 months in advance was a bargain.

When I arrived in Paris I decided to get the metro to the hotel this was relatively easily the only downside was the queues to the get the tickets. A short ride from the station we arrived in Les Halles which is the area of the hotel as we didn't have a map we wasn't sure where the hotel was situated until I turned around and saw a big sign saying Citedines we had arrived. The area itself may look a big off beat due to the amount of people sleeping rough on the streets and barring the last night everyone left us alone.

The hotel reception were amazing we arrived 6 hours early for check in but to my surprise they said that my room was ready and that i could go into it straight away which was a welcome relief after traveling since 5am that morning, not only were they very helpful and welcoming to the hotel but they spent 10 minutes showing me attractions and best places to go on the map which they provided me. Little extras like sweets on the counter, free use of umbrellas and just a big smile on arrival made me feel welcome.

The rooms were spacious and and as I had a mini apartment it had all the necessities that one would need, the bathroom was good especially shower so powerful and warm which we very welcome after 3 rainy days in Paris. The only downsides were the construction not that it disturbed me that much as I don't like to spend too much time in hotels rooms when I'm away and the people sleeping rough in the area that i previously mentioned they rarely disturb you.

The Location of the hotel is the main attraction here for me you are in 10 minute walking distance of both the Lourve and Notre Dame both are must do's in this city but even a taking steady 30 minute stroll along the Siene and your at the Eiffel Tower. One piece of advice is wear the most comfortable footwear you have if you wish to explore Paris by foot .........

I would stay at this hotel again as I couldn't really fault it in anyway......

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the the square with the fountain and ask for a high room ....
