“Art Deco Comfort in a Great Location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 22, 2012

Enjoyed a lovely stay at the Richepanse - friendly and helpful staff, an elegantly comfortable and quiet room. This is a superb location for shopping, seeing the fabulous holiday windows of the Grands Magasins, or getting virtually anywhere you want to go in Paris - several metro lines within a few minutes. Metro line 14, which we took from Gare de Lyon to Madeleine, then a 5 minute walk to the hotel, is the best we've been on for those with luggage - escalators and elevators available so you don't have to schlep luggage up and down stairs. The free wifi worked perfectly, and the little lobby was a nice place to meet friends before enjoying the holiday sights of Paris.

Selected this hotel because of some points I wanted to use and the location and was not disappointed. The room itself was comfortable, bigger than I expected and with a large bathroom (for Paris). The beds were good, windows opened, air conditioning worked well, and it was very clean. Did not use the mini-bar or eat breakfast at the hotel as there were cheaper options elsewhere. The location is perfect, 1/2 block to the Madeleine church and the metro, and a hop on hop off bus site, as well as a small grocery store (montop). 1/2 block to Longchamp and the other great shops, and a very short walk to the Seine. Try Royal Madeleine across the street for a great meal (it was pouring rain so the promixty came in handy!).

Room Tip: We were on the street but it was not loud with the windows closed.

The hotel is steps from the Madeleine and the great shops of Rue Royale. I usually stay here when I am in paris. The rooms are small, but well maintained, and the cheerful and helpful staff are always trying and make up for the room size. Many rooms have been renovated and the place has improved a lot, especially with windows as the hotel sits over a street with some activity, day and night. I did breakfast out, around the corner are nice places for coffee and eggs etc, as is laDuree

Room Tip: Up is always nice but there is an elevator

Never stayed in a hotel with a better location. The Art Deco look is cool, the rooms are large and well-appointed, the bed was super-comfortable. This hotel is handy to the metro - best way to get around, so easy to use - and close to two major railway stations as well as all the sights and great shopping. Cafes and restaurants in the same street are all ok. Disappointed to find the price we paid through a popular booking website was way higher than the hotel's own rack rate, maybe contact the hotel directly to book your stay. (Staff all spoke English, another plus.)

Room Tip: Rooms on level 2 are at the same level as the street lights. Curtains are thick and generous but if...

This fantastic boutique hotel is situated just off Opera & it provide easy access to all the Paris attractions. We arrived from Charles de Gaulle on the Roissy bus & the hotel is very close the the drop of point opposite the opera house. We received a very warm welcome & check in was painless . Our room was ready despite the fact that we were early. The gentleman on reception could not do enough for us, very professional , friendly & helpful.
When we arrived back to the hotel after spending the afternoon exploring we were surprised and very touched to be presented with the most beautiful gift from the staff & management of the hotel. We were celebrating my husbands belated birthday as we were on honey moon for his birthday I delayed his gift which was a romantic trip to Paris with all the bells & whistles! Very thoughtful of the hotel & it certainly will not be forgotten by us. The room is very spacious , clean & well layed out. It is of a surprising standard for Paris & extremely good value for the price . Tea & coffee facilities are a big plus & an iPod docking station. Extremely quiet when you consider the central location. Highly recommend this fantastic little haven. We will most definitely be returning. Thank you again from Triona & John

We stayed here for a week at the end of September 2012
It's really close to downtown and the sticker price reflects this , one thing that Miffed me was that they were doing construction across the street it was really noisy with the windows open.
But with the windows closed you would barely notice the noise

staff was awesome , very helpful and polite -- full marks , they spoke English well and never made me feel bad about it .

Really lose to the metro and lots of little restaraunts close by
For my first trip toparisitwasaagoodlocation to launch from
The room was a bit small but not too bad to cause any inconvenience , besides we were on flashed there to sleep .

Ovall a good experience albeit overpriced

Room Tip: Try to book. 3rd floor or better, stay away from north side rooms where construction is going on T...

we select this hotel due to it's excellent reviews from TripAdvisor and we didn't choose wrong. After a nice experience wit hotel Dunimy Vandome 1 year ago I had an even nicer one in Opera Richepanse.
The location is perfect, close to the underground, close with an excellent shopping area, with many restaurants around. Rooms are small but comfortable, well furnished, with nice colors. We found very useful the pot for preparing tea and coffee. I advise you to take the breakfast, is expensive (20 Euro) but it worth. In a very small space they had a big diversity of food. Even I am vegetarian I found cheese, eggs in many ways, fruits and cakes. Service (coffee, tea, eggs) is fast and people are kind. Even they have just few table we never wait for a sit. We take the advantage of the discount period and did lot of shopping. The big outlet at Val D’Europe (just near Disneyland) is a good choice but we found even better offers in the shops around the hotels. There a many restaurants around but I advice you to try Gourmet restaurant on rue Duphot, at 3 minutes walk from our hotel. Is not a cheap restaurant but worth the experience. For 2 persons, 2 courses each without alcohols we paid 150 Euro. If you like fish and sea food just try it. From outside looks normal but inside we will bound an elegant and restaurant. We also appreciate that the density of table and chairs is not as big as it is in other Parisian restaurants. The very small tables in the restaurants and people just stick to you, hearing you, is a thing that I cannot easy accept but unfortunately in Paris is normal.

You may also appreciate to take dinner at La Saut du Loup, a nice restaurant with a big terrace at the Louvre Museum of Decorative Arts. We may have a nice view of Carussel, jardin du Tuileries and Tour Effel and eat well. After a busy day we may rest and enjoy the view.

From the airport we can take either Metro or the special bus for airport. If you have luggage metro is better, the exit is closer with the hotel. As we made big shopping we chose the taxi to go to the airport and we paid 65 Euro.
