We were looking to stay in this area and choose this one to be convenient to everything. Very cosy room, typically French faded elegance, but well equipped with bath in bathroom as requested. Free wifi and tea and coffee in room. One small point which would have made a dis proportionate difference. If only the cops could had been china, plastic breakers and plastic cups in bathroom just didn't sit well for Euros 220 per night. Staff friendly, took breakfast just round the corner great cafe called Ma Favorite on he du Rivol

The hotel is located in the heart of histric Marais district, and you will find lots of fancy restaurants & romantic cafe around. Hotel staffs are very friendly, always willing to assist you to make your stay as pleasant as possible. It's clean, it's tasteful, it's cozy and it's even amusing if you get the room on the 'fire department' side, firefighters come and go thru the front gate for their training in early morning^o^
Also this location is just as safe as you'd possibly expect to be, walking distance to the metro station, really convenient to come + go to the amazing museums, and if you are find of walking, even available to walk down to the bars & pubs in 5-10 minutes, so it's just wonderful to have all the freedom to enjoy your nightlife as well.

Located close to the recently refurbished St. Paul Church, the trendy Rue des Francs-Bourgeois and the divine Place des Vosges, the St. Paul hotel is nice find. It isn't exactly cheap (EUR157 for a single but with breakfast included and free wifi) but that's the area it is in. If it were a few meters to the East and closer to Bastille, it wouldn't be able to ask for that price. So you pay for the location but also the individually-designed rooms, with a bohemian look and confortable linen. It's all very clean and the staff is helpful -- which is not always the case in Paris hotels. The breakfast is typical Parisian with fresh baguette, croissants and pains au chocolats. Yum! All in all, it's nice, good value for money and in a good location so if the Marais is your destination, give it a go!

Have been reading some of the bad reviews on here and I most definitely had a different experience. I stayed here for two nights at the beginning of mine and my boyfriends relationship as we both work right next to the hotel and wanted to spend a couple of nights together (we didn't live together then). It was quite expensive as we booked on arrival, but still fairly budget compared to other hotels in Paris, It is Paris after all! Plus it's central Paris being in the 4th and in le marais, amazing location.

Contrary to other opinions I have read, we must have been lucky as we LOVED our room. It was very spacious, a large bedroom area, a separate bathroom, and a pretty spacious corridor type area between the bedroom, bathroom and front door. Plus all the usual such as kettle, tea bags, biscuits. We had a comfy bed and a pleasant two nights stay. One other thing EVERY other hotel room I have stayed in in Paris has been TINY. This was the biggest hotel room by far I have ever stayed in in France, but I think we were maybe just lucky to have been given a larger room, as I read some of the rooms are smaller than others, it seems maybe a lot smaller, so perhaps clarify this before booking.

Oh and one other thing the guy at reception was really nice and friendly :-)
