My husband and I stayed here for four nights on a recent trip to London and Paris. The hotel is a very unique and individualized property. To be certain, this is not a Right Bank Palace hotel, but , in my mind, it is more wonderful for that. When thinking about what made the experience so pleasant, the warmth and concern of the staff stand out in my mind as the most salient factors. To a person, everyone was polite and friendly and genuinely seeking a way to make your stay a pleasant one. The public rooms are elegant and gracious. The guests appeared to be as well. The breakfast was exemplary with a great variety of very fresh foods and lovely service. The location, on the left bank, is ideal...a fabulous neighborhood for walking and exploring and window shopping. Close to museums and to some surprisingly excellent restaurants very close by. Our room was a corner one overlooking the Rue Dauphine. The configuration was long and narrow which was a bit odd and we found the street noisy as we like to open our windows. I would return without hesitation and highly recommend this hotel. I would simply request a room away from the front of the hotel.
