“Bustly and atmospheric.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 19, 2013

Narrow streets, loads of eateries in various price ranges, and lots of people. Great atmosphere and the two main churches are truly local features for the community.

Humble Gothic church, the oldest one in Paris... If you are interested in history you can´t miss this place.

“Unknowingly walked through”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 11, 2013

My wife and I were simply wandering around (as is our way sometimes) and walked through (and around) this neighbourhood.

My initial comment of "Looks like a French Regent St" could maybe have been a bit more descriptive but basically this is a nice area with shops, cafes and restaurants but beware, prices are at their highest and Paris isn't cheap to start with!

“Go and explore the back streets!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 11, 2013

We stayed very close to this area and were fortunate enough to walk through every day. We loved the feel and vibe of the area, which had some lovely shops, restaurants, bars and cafes. In particular we enjoyed wondering off the main roads and strolling through the Parisienne back streets, which were virtually tourist free and had a very authentic feel about them. Here we stumbled across some amazing patisseries, which sold the most beautiful macaroons and cakes you have ever seen!
I would highly recommend spending some time in this area.
