We took the funicular to the top (it's included in the Paris Visite pass) and toured inside the church. It's really much better than others would have you believe. Afterwards, we walked down. Not very hard at all.
There are many locals selling their wares and, as far as we're concerned, they were just trying to make a living. Nobody tried to give us the hard sell.
So the point is to just enjoy all the good stuff. There is so much of that here. Keep being positive and positive things will happen.
Of course, below church grounds are the tourist traps. But we are from Hawaii and are used to that. Just avoid anything that you do not need.
