“Chose it for our 30th Anniversary”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 2, 2011

We had just completed 10 days walking Normandy and Brittany, eating authentic French food, drinking authentic French wine. We got back to Paris for our 30th anniversary, found La Chine for a great Chinese dinner. We could have eaten anywhere in Paris for our 30th...but the intimacy, the quality, the great hospitality from the owner, brought us back to La Chine for our special night. We shallow Americans saw France at its best...and we chose La Chine for our 30th Anniversary. For anybody who longs for great Chinese food as a change of pace in Paris, we could not recommend them more highly. Great food. Great environment. A hidden treasure.

“Intimate Chinese Restaurant near Madeleine”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 9, 2010

This is a great little restaurant in an area of interesting local eateries in the general precinct of Madeleine. It has an intimate, cosy atmoshere and decor and good Chinese food, without the flashiness, at a reasonable cost. It has been around since 1960 so that says a lot. Another advantage for English-speaking travellers is that English, French and Chinese are spoken.
