“Beautiful place, sunday brunch not very good”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 7, 2012

My wife and I decided to go to the Ritz for Sunday brunch. The hotel itself was gorgeous! We did not have a reservation and it was booked up. However, they were kind of enough to seat us. The restaurant was beautiful and the service was very good. They had an amazing selection of food and spectacular presentation, but it was not very good. Out of all the restaurants we ate in Paris, it ranked somewhere in the middle.

Staying in Paris is always wonderful, but to stay at the Ritz captures the very essence of the city. The hotel is in such a beautiful location, with fantastic views and a very special place. The perfect hotel for any celebration, particularly a wedding anniversary.

Room Tip: They are all good

We stayed here on our last night after traveling through Italy and France for 5 weeks. We knew we were spending a lot of money but it was worth it. The first thing we noticed when we arrived was the amazing service. The staff were very attentive and helpful. After being shown to our room we lay down on the bed and it was by far the most comfortable bed in our travels. The pool area is beautiful and we enjoyed the use of the gym. Breakfast the next day was lovely and again it was the service that stood out. Really glad we got to stay here before the renovation but look forward to going back to see what it looks like in a couple of years.

You can't beat the Ritz in Paris. The location is great near a beautiful park. The staff is very helpful. The food in the restaurant, bar and room service is outstanding. The pool area is a serene fairy tail break from the bustle or Paris. You can spend a day just in the pool area reading a book. It is beautiful inside. They even provide swimming caps to keep the pool clean. They accommodate children as well. The rooms are very well decorated with fabric on the walls to help keep out noise, beautiful furnishings, draperies and bedding. Every detail is attended to as a guest and a hotel. Yes it is expensive, but it is also an experience.

Room Tip: ask to be away from the front of the hotel and away from elevators.

The Ritz Paris is an experience we'll never forget. Not only was the hotel a luxury destination, but the food was delicious and the staff was -- without exception -- friendly, considerate and helpful in every way possible.

PLUSES:
We stayed in July and enjoyed a suite with a view of Place Vendome. The room was enormous, with a large king-sized bed, a fireplace, two writing desks, a sitting area, and a beautifully-appointed bathroom. The large windows of the room opened, allowing us to enjoy the sights and sounds of Place Vendome. The room was spotlessly clean, and the beds (the King sized bed and the rollaway bed) were incredibly comfortable. Food at the main restaurant was delicious (with attentive waiters and waitresses). We also enjoyed drinks at the main bar, which was noteworthy not only because of the great cocktails, but because of the ambience and people watching. The public areas of the hotel are stunning, and the wireless Internet was fast and interruption-free. The most impressive feature of the hotel, though, was the staff. From making reservations to see Giverny to getting us reservations at a sought-after restaurant, the Ritz team was spectacular.

MINUSES:
They're renovating in August, which means we won't get to stay there again for another two years. In all seriousness, there are no minuses. Having visited many of the great hotels of the world, I can say that the Ritz Paris has its own charm and character that make it fantastically unique and memorable.

BOTTOM LINE:
Stay here. You'll love it, and you'll enjoy the memories, too.

The Ritz and its history never fail to impress me. The gift of a cake and champagne for my birthday just added to its charm. The Ritz may be old, but it seemed spiffed up from my previous visit. Happily, they kept the same décor and ambiance rather than go sleek and cold. I did not get the Elton John suite as I did last time, but I still felt like a princess. I especially felt royal in the dining room, where every waiter was gracious and generous with attention. I did not get that attention at a famous restaurant where I went as part of another childhood dream. The cost inflicts no pain on my dream to stay at the Ritz.

I stayed at the the Ritz Paris in May of 2012 and had a wonderful experience, the service was flawless. The bill was expensive but worth every penny!!! The Ritz was the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in!!!

Room Tip: The Deluxe Room was very comfortable, yet it had a modern marble bath, the Ritz had turn down servic...
