Stayed in the Art Deco balcony room. Nice size room for two people. There is a double built in wardrobe. The marble bathroom is a good size for two people. Separate shower/tub, but one sink. Room is nicely decorated. Amenities are good. The balcony is also generous in size, especially for Paris.

When I stayed at Starwood's Prince
de Galles several years ago I thought the worn-down property had more in common with its Westin cousins that with top Parisian hotels like the neighboring Georges V, Le Meurice, or Le Crillon. After a fabulous renovation le Prince de Galles is a wonderful alternative to other five star properties. Also wonderful was the staff who effortlessly blend friendliness, grace, and efficiency. Although the rooms are, like most older hotels in major cities, on the small side, we were given a room with a large terrace and a beautiful view of Paris. As with most Starwood hotels, the bed was great. The bathroom featured Bulgari products, and there was a Nespresso machine to start the morning with an espresso. Overall, I was left with the impression that the folks at the Prince de Galles really want every guest's stay to be the kind of special experience that makes Paris Paris.

What I loved most about this hotel was the old Parisian chic/ art deco feel you get as you as soon as you walk into the lobby. Even though the hotel was recently renovated, they managed to keep its authenticity in fresh & modern way which is apparent in every little detail of the hotel.
On top of that, the location is perfect being close to Ave Montaigne, Champs Elysees etc

Incredible hotel. The staff in general are fantastic, but Frederic at the door is awesome. Location is great; Paris' version of 5th Avenue. No need for the metro, everything is in walking distance. Have the hotel arrange for you to be picked up at the airport...the guy got us through customs like we didn't need passports... Oh, btw, it's expensive. The hotel. The drinks. (Think 24euro for a gin and tonic.) Not a hotel for people counting their euros... If money is no object, then this is the spot.

My husband and I stayed there in May 14 on our European holiday. My husband is a Starwood Gold Preferred guest and we have been given an Art Deco Deluxe room with a terrace (booked Art Deco Deluxe room), which I loved. The room was absolutely beautiful and the terrace was large with table and chairs and overlooking Av. George V. The size of the room was very generous for Paris. The bathroom is exquisite with the gorgeous mosaic. The Bvlgari amenities are very nice.

The food quality in the hotel is very good though a bit pricey. Service at the restaurant was good, but room service was a different story. We booked breakfast for 6:30AM (when it is advertised to start) but got a call in the morning saying it was not ready. Unfortunately we were on a schedule so this was inconvenient and the lady was surprised that we wanted the breakfast on time. It got delivered late and the poached eggs were cold and there was no salt delivered either. We were running late so just ate it, but it was awful eating cold unsalted eggs!

The same morning we got a 5:00 am call while sleeping saying that the taxi was waiting, which we didn't order. Clearly a mix up. Lucky that we were getting up early that morning otherwise I would have been very upset about the time of the call. They should double check the number before calling at 5 AM!

The hotel is in a great spot. Minutes away from the Seine and minutes away from Champs Elysee and metro. Lots of good restaurants in the area as well.

Overall a great stay.

I decided to stay here with my family as the hotel had been recently redone. Its all great. Great location, service, quiet rooms, all modern, good gym, etc.

My only knock on this place is its out of control expensive. I mean $17 for a cappuccino in the morning is pushing it even for big city business hotels.

Room Tip: the rooms are a bit small so you may want to go for a bigger room. You are going down in flames on...

This hotel is beautiful and the balcony rooms are great. I was upgraded to a room on the top floor with a terrace and loved everything about it. It's where I got engaged! The staff was very helpful and the concierge helped with dinner reservations. Location is great as most everything is within walking distance. It's expensive but highly recommended.
