This is a very nice hotel in the Opera-Montmartre area of Paris. We have been to Paris before and stayed in 3 and 4 stars hotels that are very small/not clean so this time before booking our hotel I read several reviews and Hotel Joyce catch my eye so I decided to give it a try.
Paid about $130 euros per night which is about the average price for a 3 or 4 stars hotel in that area. The hotel is located in a very quiet street between the Opera and Sacre Coeur. It is about 3 minutes walking distance to the metro station of St. Georges which is clean and safe. There are several restaurants within walking distance plus there is a bike rental station right around the corner. We always came back very late to the hotel and felt safe walking on the streets. If you're up to, you can also walk to Galeries Lafayette (for those of you interested in shopping).
The hotel lobby is clean and the service was excellent. Because we got there early in the morning the room was not ready but they let us leave our luggage and use the free wi-fi.
The first room we got was in the first floor right next to the breakfast/communal area so we were not very excited about it. The room itself was great, very spacious, clean, well decorated. The bathroom was very clean and spacious as well. Only problem is that because it is in the first floor right next to the breakfast area there is not much privacy plus there are no windows. We requested another room but the hotel was full so they told us that the next day we could change. We spent the night there without any problems, in the morning we could barely hear the noise from the breakfast area. Even though the room was good we still decided to move to another room.
We got one on the third floor which was also very spacious and clean. The window was overlooking the interior patio (where the breakfast area is) which was nice plus it gives a sense of even more space. Room decoration was modern and all the amenities worked perfectly (Wi-Fi, bath/shower, toilet, safe box, tv)
Staff was very helpful with recommendations and our requests. Overall Hotel decoration is modern and feels new and clean. Breakfast was good plus in the afternoon they have complimentary beverages which is great.
I'm really happy we stayed at Hotel Joyce and would highly recommend it.
