“Great Stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 7, 2012

We had a great stay. We were on our honeymoon/europe trip and they welcomed us with a bottle of champagne. Also loved our room (a little small but loved it still) since we had a very nice nice balcony. (Rm 504) We sat out on the balcony to have drinks. Loved also the decor of room and the hotel in general.
The only thing that left a sour taste was on departure. An airport shuttle was arranged and we were not aware that it was to be shared with other people who were been picked up at other locations. We made three other stops before we made it to the airport. If we knew that we would have taken a taxi as there was three of us. Unfortuanely one of our carry on luggage was misplaced either on loading the vehicle at the hotel or during the trip where three other stops were made. But all in all a good trip

Room Tip: Loved Rm 504 Had a very nice size balcony

I have never written a review before but loved this little gem so much. We Stayed at this really cute hotel on our 3 day stay in Paris and loved it. Michel the concierge was so helpful and accommodating. The location is a little farther out from central Paris, but we actually liked that because it was a quite residential area. There was a metro station within a 5 min walk. Some of the reviews said the rooms were small but that wasn't a problem for us. We didn't go to Paris to sit in the room. They were typical European size. We travelled to Berlin , Munich, London and Paris on this 10 day trip and this was the best hotel we stayed at.

We stayed at Joyce hotel for two nights during our trip to Paris this week and were very pleased with it.

The quirky design details in the breakfast room and lobby were lovely, and our room was also attractive with nice design elements, not too small, with a comfortable bed, enough closet space, an ipod dock, free wi-fi and a nice bathroom. The open juice bar in the breakfast room was also a nice element to enjoy.

The breakfast was not bad, although some of the baked goods were not completely fresh. It included a variety of choices from croissants, pain au chocolat, jam, salmon, salad, eggs, sausages, juice, tea etc.

The area was nice, a walking distance from Montmartre and about five minutes from St. George metro station to get to the centre of Paris. We did not wander across to the red light district at night, which was advised against by some, as we always walked back from St. Georges.

The staff was friendly and helpful. A shuttle service is available to the airport (35€) but was full so the front desk lady advised us how to get to Paris Orly by public transport (taxi would have been 50€), which is doable if you don't have too much luggage and are ok with carrying it between various points. The trip via metro and RER takes about an hour to Paris Orly.

There's nothing more to ask from Hotel Joyce! The staff are very attentive and friendly, complementary breakfast buffet is excellent, complementary wi-fi is a bit slow but works better in the lobby area, rooms are clean and comfortable (I didn't find the rooms that small), and has many architectural features that are worthy of multiple shutter clicks! It is not too far from major attractions but still quiet enough to sleep undisturbed. I will definitely stay at Joyce again next time I visit Paris.

After reading the good reviews of this hotel on tripadvisor, we decided to stay here.
And we're very glad we did!
The rooms are small, but cosy. The bed is very comfortable! The decor of the hotel is stylish.
And the receptionists are extremely helpful and nice.

We stayed in a room placed in the back of the hotel, and it was very quiet. We had no problem sleeping with the window open.

The open bar with free water, soft drinks and some snacks like biscuits and potatochips was very nice.

We had dinner a couple of times in small, cosy restaurants in the neighbourhood, where most of the guests were locals, the food was excellent and not too expensive.

We highly recommend this hotel, and will absolutely stay here again if we ever return to Paris.

Position not too far from the shopping district (but even not too near.....about ten min walking). Good area and most of all non too far from Metro station. Rooms comfortable but small (but in all Pars hotel rooms are small!). Atmosphere around is nice. The Bar is very pleasant and offer you soft drink for free (very good idea). Design good. Average opinion: good.
