“Excellent stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 24, 2014

The hotel is located in a wonderful area, short walking distance to a lot of Paris attractions, and a train and metro station are just around the corner. It is kept very clean, the rooftop views of the city worth the money paid for. The room was lovely, very comfortable mattress and pillows, updated bathroom, very clean and tidy with a nice terrace. The staff is very professional, multi lingual, polite and always willing to help. I would definitely stay here again

Room Tip: Go for the upper levels where rooms have terraces.

The hotel is in a Lovely area of Paris, right beside an RER B train stop as well so no problems getting there from the airport(1 train)! Loved the hotel, very small rooms as expected in Paris but perfectly functional! Not like any other HI I've stayed in before. Check out The view of the Eiffel Tower from the rooftop! Friendly, helpful staff, clean and convenient!

I'm not sure what other people's complaints are on here. The location of this hotel is superb being a stones throw away from the metro providing easy access to all of Paris and Notre Dame cathedral just on your doorstep (more or less).#

I found all the reception staff to be very polite and helpful and they even went out of their way to let us check in early which was excellent.

The room was nicely decorated but the bathroom sadly was a little worn (chips in the bath etc) but this didn't detract from the feeling of good value for money. I have seen £195 a night banded around on here which is ridiculous as my partner and I paid much less than that!

I must say that anyone who stays here must go up to the roof terrace and view Paris at night, it was one of the best sights of the trip.

I would recommend this hotel for a short city break as for my partner and I it ticked all the right boxes.

Nice place in a bustling part of Paris, it cost £195 per night which is extortionate but then again so is everything else in Paris. Staff were friendly and the place is clean and tidy, the lifts are nice but very slow at reacting. The shower is confusing to use but when you grasp it, it works really nice.
The breakfast is too expensive to bother with (it should be free) so get breakfast outside. The internet is free for 2 hours but then its £14 which is a rip off, when will these people realise that Wi-Fi be free.

My husband took me to Paris for our 25th wedding anniversary. He chose the Holiday Inn Notre Dame. What a wonderful hotel. The location was perfect to walk to many sites and the Metro was just down the street with easy access to the rest of the sites we wanted to see. We when Feb 14, 2014 through the 22nd and could have not asked for better weather. Yes we had one day of rain but that didn't slow us down at all. The hotel had everything we needed and was built in the late 1800's. The staff was wonderful. Even if you don't speak French they had you covered and gave you maps, assisted in finding specialty shops and took care of all of our needs. I highly recommend this hotel. Be prepared to have a small space but that was no problem. We had a balcony room with a view of the Eiffel Tower and the beautiful roof lines of Paris. At the top of the hotel there is a area that you can get a 360 view of the city and great area to take photos of Notre Dame and the Eiffel Tower. I hope we can go back in the future.

Room Tip: Ask for a balcony room with the Eiffel Tower view

Stayed here night before last. Only had one night in Paris and the location seemed like it made the most sense for a whirlwind trip. Flight change with our airline and we were in Paris 4 hours ahead of time, but no fear. Conchetta (certain I have spelled her name incorrectly) got us checked in 7 hours early! And...with a smile! So we were able to drop the bags and head out early for extra time sight seeing which was a HUGE plus in our tight schedule.

You are walking distance to Notre Dame...as in minutes of walking! That was a perfect starting point for us to criss-cross the bridges to catch the Louvre, a cafe lunch, a casual walk through the Latin Quarter, a stroll down the Champs Elysees and the Arc de Triumph and finally the Eiffel Tower. Being so close to everything and a little "out" from the center made it easier to start at one end, so to speak, and walk through the major sights one by one without having to double back.

The rooms could use a little upgrading...a tad dark. But if you are on the higher floors, you have a balcony and you are paying for the location and the views. That's why you came to Paris hopefully, not for an ultra modern nightstand!

The staff was especially helpful, always had a smile and really were great ambassadors for the hotel. We will absolutely book again when in Paris!

Room Tip: Ask for a high floor with view room. The balconies are awesome!
